For the sake of decency you and Myakka should get a motel room.
I would settle for a coach worth his salt.
He recruited one, and then marked the job finished before the kid stepped onto NCAA turf. For one of the most key offensive positions for his style of football.
He deserves to be fired for this alone.
Where is the long list of players that have been developed? We're three pages in and nothing??
Or me and you.... Opposite attract big boy
Sadly. There is none. 11-2!!
Offensively (to be fair) Matt Jones looked like he was in track before the mono. DJ looked good throughout last year by injuries and the entire OL has disrupted that. Kelvin looks like he is coming along. But I will agree this is a short list. Assuming Muschamp stays next year we will need to see development from those 3 + Lane, Robinson, Fullwood, Colin and Chris Thompson, Bailey, and Kent Taylor plus 2-3 more OL to be a good team.

Hey, Chump just needs more time. 5-6 more years and it will be just like the Dickey era. C'mon who's on board?
You are correct that Kyle was struggling. But coaches did nothing to alive or address the struggling. You are also correct that he is in backup purgatory.
That's a shame. Just another indictment of the failure that is this regime.
Pops, do we actually have a kicking / punting coach who can address Kyle's struggles ?
I ask, because - in the threads that addressed our kicking game - many say effective punting is like a good golf swing, that overthinking or worrying about it too much can get the player out of what he does naturally, let the worry goblins in and get the player out of form.
Just wondering if we have any former kickers / punters that can actually offer any technical advice, to go along with the usualy coaching reassurances, i.e., "kid, we're pulling for you. Keep working on it, you'll get it," kind of stuff.
By the way, we're still pulling for Kyle.
LOL this is so true. Unbelievable.
Are you going to point out who exactly said give Muschamp 3-4 more years or will you just go ahead and have a grown up discussion with the rest of us?
Nothing shocking here. I don't think WM demands perfection. What do the coaches even teach? Just look at the lack of progress in the OL. Our talent is not that bad.
Even some defensive players progression has been lacking.
my count is 30 players- here comes SEC to say none of these player got better
Halapio (before shoulder problems)
I think we need to "develop" Joyer by putting him on the field consistently.
Your list is bad and you should feel bad.
Including the Burtons? They are exactly the same fantastically gifted athletes with no particularly developed skills they were coming out of high school. Same with Kelvin Taylor; kid's NFL pedigree is unassailable, but he hasn't gotten better.
Our receivers have started to show some signs of learning, it's too bad we don't have a competent passing offense to use them.
The Burtons are not great athletes if you think they are then you need to get your eyes checked. It is amazing those two are even playing SEC football. Trey Burton has gone from and H-Back to a starting productive slot WR which is a big time move
Kelvin Taylor hasnt shown me anything yet that says NFL he has still not broken a tackle. But you do see him getting better in pass pro which is a sign on development.
I would include Maye and Showers too
