I dont know anything about Staver.

But I maybe would have liked to see what Brissett could do a little more when Driskel was struggling. Or maybe put Murphy in the Miami game when he was killing us. Basically I want a coach that can proactively make a needed change and doesnt wait until injury forces his hand. I want a system where the backups are ready and can help us win games. I want actual competition.

Christy was struggling so he made a move. Kudos for trying something new. But it appears now there isn't even much of a competition going on. Now Townsend is the starter and Christy is in backup purgatory. All just my opinion of course, but thats how I see it.

When we have gotten to the point that we actually have to examine if players have improved and have to pick through the players to see if there was improvement....the iceberg didn't move, the hole isn't going to seal, and the bilge pump is not working.

Didn't Brissett start last year against a fcs team in Jacksonville state last year? He didn't exactly light it up either you know :)

That's a shame as a lot of people on here are going to cr@p their pants when they come to the full realization that Muschamp will still be HC in 2014.

And second, if we had a good kicking game (field goals mostly, we probably don't lose the Miami game UGA game and possibly the lsu game. Because 3 points each time we reached the red zone against those teams would have given us the point needed to win.

This is what I can't stand!! A "field goal" mentality! It seems that it's a sin to step on a teams throat and dare I say it...score touchdowns!

I think the issue here is we never really saw him again or during periods when Driskel was obviously struggling. There are several examples if teams pulling their starting QB when he struggles. USCe comes to mind. I am looking forward to seeing if JD has improved since his injury. Some time to focus on the mental aspect of the game may pay dividends. Jeff went from a guy learning the system and speed of SEC play to the starter after the injury to Brantley. That would be a lot for anyone. Maybe some time to develop with out the pressure of being "the man" will help. He is very physically gifted, now let's see if some of the intangibles will come along. I would like to see him more active on the sideline now. I think he is missing an opportunity to display some leadership or at the very least support. If he physically cannot be on the sideline is there a rule against him watching from the press box?

Agree. Screw the GD kicking game. What has happened to the Florida mentality? I love the "we are going to score on you, until you can stop us" mentality. Field goals are for communist.

Here's the truly crazy part: Muschamp has geared this team for this, BUT HAS NOT YET RECRUITED A KICKER.

He recruited the #1 kicker in the country. Austin Hardin. Who we've seen struggle mightily this year. UF is now the place where top recruits go to disappear. Its the Bermuda Triangle of recruiting grounds.

At least one worth a damn. Austin Hardin was suppose to be the next big thing, but apparently he's busy mowing the field, and filling water bottles at practice.

Even if we assume the whole "Meyer left the team broken" theory and that he left us with some terrible offensive players, Muschamp has had 2.5 recruiting classes, where the hell are his offensive contributors? Kelvin Taylor is fortunate he even got meaningful carries this year.

How are Muschamp's own recruits supposed to get better when they don't see the field?

I'm not that emotional about it, a losing season doesn't change my life...I still get up and go to work the next day just like I did after the '96 NC. Foley is not going to can Muschamp under the current injury issues and within 3 years. I just don't believe it will happen.
