Looks like a lot of quit on recruits based on words alone.

If the staff did this we would never get anyone.

Benjamin is gone to the NFL. Lane being sold to takeover his position immediately.

Lane is a Nole but a potential academic casualty.

The staff has done it. It's called pulling a kid's scholarship, and they have done it to several prospects who they didn't feel like dealing with since Muschamp has been here. It just so happens that kids like Lane and Cook are elite prospects at positions of need and that, combined with the fact that Muschamp is currently on the hot seat and understands the need for talent, probably has something to do with him being a bit more reluctant to play hardball with these guys.

You might want to wait on the coaches to do it before you try to run off a recruit yourself.

Until that point you are working against the staff.

For what it's worth lane himself hasn't done anything wrong in his recruitment with an exception of being guilty by association. We've all had friends that have done something we didn't approve of or agree with doing but you are his friend so you got his back regardless of situation.

Quincy stated that both him and lane were displeased with cook flipping since he recruited both of them to come here, and that he doesn't think Lane will do what cook did. Now we may not believe lane but I believe quincy about their reaction to cook flipping.

Does he have doubts about our offense? Sure, who doesn't? He said he may not go to same school as cook if the situation isn't right for him, like lack of playing time @fsu for example.

But for those of you who don't think what you write about these kids doesn't affect them here you go:

"@Money_Lane: I barely tweet now just get on twitter to see what these college fans say about me"

"@Money_Lane: He Chose FSU ❗️❗️BUT what does that gotta do with me ❓❓#justasking"
    #instagram.com/p/iu6SjsIvqb/

Honestly it's embarrassing if you seen what some of these twitter fans tweet him while representing UF. Ever since cook flipped Sick.

    gator n sc....
I am all with you on your above post.
The challenge comes into play when you have rouge individuals who want to get on Twitter posing as Gator fans.
They will make up crap... say things just to get the pot stirred and perhaps... make one of our recruits angry.
All the while, they are not even fans of Florida... they are rival fans trying to plant their tweets in the player's mind.
Same thing happens on this board all the time.
One wonders at the number of comments made by posters posing as Gator fans... all the while, they are rival fans.
I have seen more negative, undermining comments in the last three months that I can ever recall.
I am sure that many of them come from concerned Gator fans... but I am SURE that many are generated by rival fans, masquerading as Florida fans... only wanting to stir up dust and instill doubt.

I'm just referring to the vulgar profanities and homophobic slurs from the same fans that were falling at his feet saying "they love him", " come be a star @UF" etc. Pre-cook flip. it was real bad for a few hours after the UA game.

My thing is its just one guy who chose a different path for HIS life, regardless if it was for our benefit or not. Sure it was classless the way cook trolled us, but to be honest, if we didn't follow their every word, movement, and wardrobe choice this roller coaster of a recruiting cycle wouldn't be much of a roller coaster at all if all we saw was the end results: the signed LOI. Then he would have been just another kid who went elsewhere. :)

    And
With twitter unlike on here you can sorta tell if they like the Gators if you just look at the pics and timeline. You would def. See some UF stuff and re - tweets of everything gators. They just get to emotionally involved about a process for a game played by teens.

People that call themselves fans and bash the coaches relentlessly, question why recruits would "want to play in this offense", are not fans. People that bash a recruit for not acting in an upstanding manner are pathetic. We are following kids, let's try to keep that in perspective.

Lane will have a good head on his shoulders come signing day. Florida will land him. He knows Florida will be the right fit for him. IMO

Dont take that tweet out of context. He was picking a winner for the game. It's a 50/50 chance he picks one or the other. He has zero ties to auburn ( friends, homestate, etc) and fsu was nearly a 2 touchdown favorite. I'm sure some of our own players were picking fsu to win, maybe hoping auburn could pull it off but the safe pick would have been the noles.

With that being said, I can't stand winston. Something just seems so phony about him.

This just makes it that much sweeter when we beat them next year. # GO GATORS
