Quincy Wilson says he feels Lane will stick and mom is in our corner...

Nole insiders are saying Lane and Jackson will officially defect next week.

I honestly think they both stick. Cook is a diva. Lane doesn't strike me as the same type. I honestly believe he has a little more character.

Lane "trolls" much more than Cook does.

Maybe Lane is sick of being considered Cook's sidekick?

As much as I would like for him to be a gator, he is best friends with Cook and my gut says 100% Nole.

You sure they're best friends? Homestead's a long way from Liberty City. Sometimes kids get tired of being considered part of a package deal. Who knows?

This is a cop out but we could lose zero, one or both. Lane hasn't been gone for two months as was cook.

SOS considered, Jimbo hasn't been that great the past few seasons. I understand some will disagree but to me a 4 loss team with the 70th ranked schedule is likely no better than 6 losses with a top 15 schedule. fsu has a good 2012 season with 2 losses(1 to UF) but that's against the 52nd ranked schedule. 2011 and fsu loses 4 games against the 79th ranked schedule. No doubt fsu looks great so far this season but they have a much harder road next year in a playoff system. I hope our staff educates these kids when they're together.

It worries me fsu really hasn't recruited well at WR since 2011, But I also see more good news the next few weeks(OL coach, new commits) to keep recruits on board. This is a great class for Lane to be part of if only he's the best of two WRs. But, imo, there's a decent case that fsu really needs 2 great WRs in this class. Although, there is for the Gators as well.

Lane has made it known he is excited about playing with Grier. Winston will be gone after next year while Grier will be here the same amount of time as Lane. May not mean anything but I think Lane sticks with us.

I'd say there is about a 25% chance Lane sticks with us. Him not switching immediately was a good sign.

I think Rudolph's verbal to FSU helps us even more...Lane realizes he will be our marquee receiver and not have to share time with Rudolph. Also he would start immediately at Florida where at FSU maybe even a redshirt...I think one of Green and Benjamin stays even though FSU is probably lying to recruits and saying they both are leaving...especially if they don't win the title.

Hmmm, I don't normally do this, because I know you can interpret things either way, but after looking at Lane's twitter there is no way he stays. Half of his pictures have to do with him and Cook. Some serious bromance going on there. FSU is just looking to double stick this one to us. I wouldn't even be surprised if they let this one ride out 'til signing day if they can.

Probably has an agreement with Cook to be a witness if the need ever arises

They are as good as gone. I'm surprised after cook some on here think they stick. Hopefully wm and crew are looking for replacements. IMO don't get your hopes up.

A coincidence(?) that 'Dalvin Cook Ermon Lane' is an anagram of "Alarm: Nole-invoked Con" ;)

In all seriousness, I think it would be a minor miracle to keep Lane.

EDIT: Ha, I like anagrams... Dalvin Cook is an anagram of "Diva Lock: On" :)

Lane looked good in the UA game and got robbed on the td.

This is the time to not allow anything to cause us to be counter productive to the staff and continue to be positive until the ink hits paper.

With Grier coming in Lane should stick with Florida - after Winston leaves FSU they will be back to mediocre.

Not according to Quincy. I also think his character is better. Just my opinion though.

He has given indications that he can think for himself . . . without Cook's approval.

    That's a good sign.
