We are almost down to the final 30 days of recruiting, How many total recruits do you think we take and what prospects do you predict we finish out with?

Here is my wishlist surprisingly I think we have a pretty good shot with all of these guys

    Jamal Adams
    Damian Prince
    Adoree Jackson
    Lorenzo Carter
    Travis Rudolph
    Thomas Holley

Even if we were to get all of the ones above I still think we would take at least one more of the following if they were wanting to sign with us

    Nyles Morgan
    Lorenzo Featherton
    Gerald Willis
    Jordan Sims
    Speedy Noil
    Bo Scarbrough

of those 12, I'd expect 2 (Adams, Jackson), MAYBE 3 (Holley).

A bunch of underweight juco olinemen, a filler RB, backup plan 3 str wr, maybe snag some 3-4 str DT from a Duke or something. Add in some scholly transfers from the big 12....

The future is bright and muschamp gives us every reason to believe this.

If we keep the current commits, then add Adoree' Jackson, Jeff Jones & Eric Lauderdale we'll have a top-three class with, I believe, three open spots to fill.

If we add those guys to the current group (even though I expect Lane to go), this class will be very pleasing. Those 3 are quality ballers!

Looks like we are going after 4 star WR DeAndre Thompkins who is a Penn State commit. Wonder if this is a back up plan if Lane de-commits. Thompkins is from NC so he may have a connection with Roper.

We have to end with a top 5 class including adding several 4/5 star playmakers to the offensive side of the ball.

Big month for the staff to close with a bang. Their jobs depend it!

I was looking through it all today and was stunned to see we have had 6 decommitments this year (Miller, Cook, Valentine, Bronson, Moten and Knox) all of whom had originally committed before April 2012. It'd be good if the Willis pick up helps us finish strongly with some good late additions.

We currently have "20 committed" according to our page, but that includes Joseph Paul (not heard that name for a while!), Ermon Lane and JC Jackson, who may all wander at some point. Also seeing lots of internet mongering about Lammons going to Wisconsin, but not from the player directly. Interestingly, of those 20, only 12 are from Florida! Assuming Paul is long gone, we currently have 19 on board, and here's how we look:

    QB - Grier
    RB -
    TE - Goolsby, Lewis
    WR - Stephens, Sousa, Lane(?)
OL - Sharpe, Sarvary, Kelleher, Angus, Dorsey,
DL - Clark, Willis, Reed, Bryan
    LB -
DB - Dawson, Jackson(?), Lammons, Wilson,

It seems like we have interest in (amongst others) Adoree Jackson (CB), Lorenzo Carter (DL), Damien Prince (OL), Nyles Morgan (LB), Derrell Scott (RB), Jeff Jones (RB), Dwight Williams (LB), Thomas Holley (DT), DeAndre Thompkins (WR), of note.

The obvious gaps are at LB and RB but we recruited well there last year.

Any suggestions as to who we will try to take?

To me, Lorenzo Carter looks the biggest need but a lot depends on Justus Reed, who may be getting overlooked at DE. Adoree too, but would love to see that kid play on the offensive side of the ball too! Also Nyles Morgan might be an interesting one at MLB but he's announcing tomorrow and I suspect it will be for Notre Dame, from what I can find on the web.

The two RBs are interesting - I know people are stung by Cook's antics but both these guys are highly rated. Scott is ESPN's No.11 RB, with Jeff Jones No.14.

Scott has visited NCState, Tennessee and South Carolina. He was quoted as saying South Carolina was at the top of his list in mid-December but he set up a visit to Florida very quickly when offered. He was on the same All-State team as Will Grier in NC, so maybe that's something :) South Carolina doesn't currently have a RB committed to its class.

Jones is the one most are talking about, not least because of his MVP role at the All-American game. Quincy Wilson is already recruiting him hard since the offer and Jones was attributed as saying ""I don’t know anyone from the University of Florida, but I just know for me the coaching staff was real genuine on the phone with me. They appreciate the talent that they have there, but they are looking for another guy to come in and make an impact.". Sounds to me from his quotes that his level of comfort with the coaching staff will be key - hopefully the full court press can be put on for his visit as he looks the part.

Interestingly ESPN gave both players the same grading as Adam Lane last year and a higher one than Matt Jones the year before.

Whatever happens, it won't be dull :)

So it looks like we are not taking any LB's in 2014.

@LukeStampini: Florida tells 2015 LB Jeffery Holland the Gators will not take a LB in 2014. http://t.co/62lM63Ap56 via @247Sports

With the addition of Willis and the likely loss of JC Jackson, closing with the following would be best case scenario (in this order):

    DE - Lo. Carter
    OT - D. Prince
    WR - Lane
    Ath - A. Jackson
    DT - Holley
    RB - Jeff Jones

@ZachAbolverdi: #UF has offered Under Armour All-American WR Isaiah McKenzie (@JoyStick_izzy) of Plantation American Heritage. #Gators

He's a 3 star and has shown little interest in the Gators so not sure why we are after him. Maybe a back up to Lane. At 5'9 172.

As soon as we find out who takes the jobs at Texas and Penn St., we will have a better clue.

It is possible that Golden and Jimbo could take those jobs. Or if neither do, someone will and a door may open.

That seems kind of crazy right? I know we took 4 last year and 2 redshirted. But we also only have 1 from 2012 left as well. 5 LBs in 3 years? Seems kind of thin.
