In another thread, I just called this legislation ObamaDoesn'tCare; which I think is a pretty good name considering this latest revelation.

That's now what I said. Try rereading it. I said it looks to be redistributed to the insurance companies and health care providers.

If you have a rebuttal that's fine but what you posted really doesn't fall into that category.

How in God's name do you even try to spin this?

You are answering this question on page 1.

    With this answer:

Providers perform a service, insurers provide payment, you see that as redistribution.

Given the high deductible plans - I think Hall is making a good point.

How is that possible when there is going to be a $2500.00 reduction in premiums plus all the free goodies

Dave, I think they do. When I was looking at plans yesterday, many had across the bottom saying it is US law that requires coverage to pay when abroad. I will look again.

I disagree, it will be redistribution through the government via Medicaid.

Perhaps not, but once they receive subsidies they are more likely to vote for the guys that want to cut entitlements.

G, you posted an irs link yesterday and buried in it was a line that read.....subsidies can be directly sent to your insurer or you can take it as a tax credit when filing.

I did not post an IRS link yesterday, but if you think doctors are going to receive larger payment from Medicaid then I have some swamp land to sell you.

My bad maybe it was Q. Not what I am saying at all. Hall said insurers will get the redistribution. In the link the govt wil pay insurers directly for the subsidies

Yes, of a form. When the government is subsidizing part of the premiums and the money goes to buy insurance and from there to the health care providers that's exactly what I am saying. Where do you think the subsidizing money comes from?

Many are liberal and those that aren't are really self-sufficient and never wanted Obamacare to begin with. I talk to poor out in Chelsea, AL and they grow their own food, have freshwater wells, hunt their own food, but seem to live richer lives than the rest of us. I keep tabs on them because they are the first people I side with if the country ever implodes. They are all conservative too and they would not be affected if the country's infrastructure crumbled overnight.
