Op-Ed in Washington Post. Obama's issues since Jan 1 have been Gun Control, Gay Marriage, Amnesty and now Global Warming (20th on list of American's concerns - Pew). Note: Libbie Lefties should not read link...don't want you to get too lathered up over holiday weekend.

I honestly think this guy does not know what to do as President other than react to splinter group demands. He plays "small ball" while huge issues are swept aside.

Would we better off for this guy to take a permanent vacation for next 3 1/2 years?

Krauthammer is being Krauthammer while a democrat is in office

He is getting paid to oppose him, when a Republican in office, he will change his tune

Why is he worth listening to?

As for the economy, conservatives can bitch and moan, but what are their elected officials doing on their side to help the economy? House bills are doing nothing for jobs, its all social issues, and repealing Obamacare even though they know it will never pass the Senate, or Obama.

Shouldn't that be while "Bagdad is burning"?

Says the guy who helped sell the Iraq invasion. WHOOPS!

Really, who listens to this guy anymore?

More chicken little stuff from Krauthammer. As 108 said, it's just Krauthammer being Krauthammer.

He does make a point though as to what the OA has been pushing since his reelect.
    Hard to dispute that.

By the way, Krauthammer's claim that the global temperatures have not increased in 16 years comes from David Rose writing in the UK Daily Mail. Every few months it seems, Rose writes a story claiming that some study has shown there's no global warming. And each time, the authors of that study respond by saying that's what they said.

The issue here is global warming, and Obama has been quite strong on it, don't you think?

    Closing statements pretty good IMO.

I’m not against a global pact to reduce CO2. Indeed, I favor it. But in the absence of one — and there is no chance of getting one in the foreseeable future — there is no point in America committing economic suicide to no effect on climate change, the reversing of which, after all, is the alleged point of the exercise.

For a president to propose this with such aggressive certainty is incomprehensible. It is the starkest of examples of belief that is impervious to evidence. And the word for that is faith, not science.

again, he's shown very strong leadership on the issue. you just don't like his position, so you claim it's not leadership.

what, because Republicans would oppose Obama if he came out in favor of air and mothers?

Any reasonable person would assume he is in favor of both air and mothers.

    I dont see your point.

If Obama had really shown leadership on GW then there would be a universal ( see India, China) International combined effort not a unilateral, ineffective by definition, fiscally devastating penalty for American interests. Pathetic.
