Politifact looks at a bunch of items that started off as satire, but were quickly picked by conservatives as passed off as the truth.

Probably mistaken for truth more than anything -- and precisely because, like the veteran mass shooting, they sound like things that would actually come out of this administration.

i figured someone would say that. but, no, if you believe really stupid things, it's your fault. not someone else's.

The satire is basically a juxtaposition of two entirely real things -- the terrorist profile that drew focus to disgruntled returning veterans, and the duck and cover safety guide for federal employees. That is not only what makes it good satire, but also what gives it the whiff of plausibility.

I get it! Like..."you can keep your doctor". "You can keep your plan" "you will save $2500 a year". "This is not a tax". "Bengazi was because of a movie". "I knew nothing about arming Mexican drug lords". "We are focused like a laser in jobs"

All cleared up for me now. Thanks.

Which is exactly why we blame you and his other apologists on this board for Obama. :)

Like, say, continuing to believe Obama is a good president?

    Good point.

My favorite was the Fox producer that watched an 08 Obama campaign video and laughingly called him a socialist.

Now all the right wing lemmings that don't understand the meaning of that word repeat it as a mantra.

it's clear that part of the problem is the inability of many on the right to tell the difference between fact/fiction and opinion.
    It's really not that hard.

Evidently, several million Americans are now learning the hard way the difference between fact and fiction...

Of course, there are many of us "smart people" who knew what Obama was saying was complete and utter fiction back when he said it.

The two true things are no less nutty than the one false one.

Congrats. You are the latest in a long line of posters here who only last a short time that enjoy lecturing both Dems and pubs about how corrupt they both are.

Since you are so brilliant, why don't you enlighten us on your preferred style of governance?

    1. I've been here for a long time and Im not going anywhere anytime soon, so get used to this face, I'll be calling out your hypocrisy any chance I get.

    2. Im not brilliant by any stretch of the most creative minds, but I'm also not a fool who religiously puts my confidence in people who continue to lie cheat steal their way into office and do the same while in office.

    3. Preferred governing style has nothing to do with voting for one of the evils in a two party system that clearly does not work.
