    Okay...
We were supposed to have recruited the best catching tight end and the best blocking tight end in the country two years ago.
What is happening to these two and why are they being passed up on the depth chart?
Not a knock on them... I am just curious.

young and injured. Go look at the top 10 guys in that class that year and tell me how much they played last year and this year. TE and OL take time

We have two TE receptions on the year. Anyone know what our record for lowest in a season is? It's hard to ask this with a straight face, but I am curious. Let's say in the last 40 years or so.

It's one of the truly great mysteries produced by this coaching staff:

    - Where are the tight ends?
    - What happened to Hunter Joyer in the running game from last year?
    - What happened to the fake end-around on runs up the middle from last year?
    - If things are going to disappear, why not the wildcat?
    - How many 5* players can we render ineffective?
    - We had no spring game this year? What?
    - First in the nation in TOP but nearly last in every other stat? What are you doing?
    - Did we really have a game where our best punt was by our QB and our best throw was by our punter?
    - When was the last time you saw this many defensive converts playing offense?
    - Three years of offense ranked below 100 and not 1 staff change?
    - Why are our backups blowing the starters out of the water at some positions?
    - Why recruit 5* WRs if you aren't going to use them? (Waiting for starters to get injured, I presume)
    - Only 4 OL taken in 2011 and 2012?
    - "Co-starting" QBs in 2012? That was a joke.
    - 3 years in and almost no depth accrued at any position except secondary and punter
    - In 3 years have ever hit a wide open WR for a TD?
    - Why do we almost never throw the ball into the end zone?
    - Remember when we were losing 22-7 against Furman? Then of course ULL last year. Watch out for Ga. Southern!
    - WTF was that Sugar Bowl?
    - Charlie Weis then Brent Pease but keeping Weis's terminology?.........

Its all just so bizarre. Each of these minor issues is an indication of overall lack of quality control. We're competitive in almost every game, have suffered a few blowouts, but you don't get the overall sense of a strong foundation (i.e. a future). Isn't that basically what got Zook fired?

What got Zook fired was the incessant negativity that surrounded him from day one; plus some really bad luck, such as having two big games stolen from him.

One TE is at Louisville, one TE is at Tennessee State.

This is the same coaching staff that was hell bent on Driskel over Murphy and Jones/Brown over Taylor until injuries forced them to play the better players (though they are still obsessed with Brown over Taylor). Does anyone here really believe that Burton and Westbrook are better than Thompson/Kent Taylor?

We have plenty of tight wads with the football. No tight ends, though.

Tight ends.... you talking tight ends...How about a first down? Tight ends are about 65th on our list of issues...Coaching issues run 1 thru 50 or so in my opinion.

TE's? We don't need no stink'n TEs. We have hybrid Trey Burton for catching TE passes even though he isn't catching any TE passes.

Kent Taylor is not injured. I'm not sure Colin Thompson is still injured as there haven't been any updates in weeks.

The coaches know better, but they clearly don't with the lousy offenses we've put on the field under Will Muschamp.

    - if things are going to disappear, why not the Wildcat?

Agreed, the wildcat needs a place next to Kyle Christie's punting ability and routes where the receiver catches the ball while running away from the line of scrimmage

TE's are injured for the most part. we have a converted D-lineman playing TE. not very solid there.

Pardon my ignorance, but do we have a TEs coach? He must be really bored. Imagine what practice is like.

Ok guys, we gotta run cleaner routes because I feel coming up over the next five games, you are going to get a pass coming to you.

Well I still am not sure who is better between Driskel and Murphy especially with a healthy Oline.

They were going to play Taylor in the LSU game injury or not.

Yeah I am positive Burton and Westboke our better than a one foot Thompson. Now a helathy Thompson that is in shape I think can help us.

I have no faith in Kent Taylor
