I don't know how hard we are recruiting RBs right now. We'd take a great one, but he'd have to be a plus-one type. Not at all worried about RBs for this year. Too early to worry about next year. If we get close to 2000 yards of production from our top three RBs this season, we will not have to worry about recruiting RBs for a long time.

I wasn't making a point. I was correcting previous poster who was suggesting michigan isn't relevant when by all accounts they most definitely are. Hoke is doing great things there.

Not true in my 30 years living here. Perhaps you are thinking of Mich St who use to feast in S fla taking kids that the big 3 didn't want or couldn't get into school academically. Carter was from Riviera Beach, which is in north palm beach, technically SFla, but not an area that most think of when you hear SFla recruiting.

Boise st won the 2010 fiesta bowl and TCU won the 2011 or 12 rose bowl does that make them relevant? When was the last national championship they won, let alone the last big 10 champ its been a while and they lost to app st a few years back don't try to tell me they're relevant they're just like ND riding off the schembechler years, they haven't fields a national contender since Desmond Howard won the heisman trophy

Howard graduated in 92. They won the 1997 National Championship going undefeated. So.. Yeah. No.
Michigan is always relevant. The same way Bama, ND, OSU, USC are.
Michigan is one of the top 5 programs in the country. They set themselves back a few years with the Rich Rod hire.

Ok so its been 17 years since their last NC and 10 years since their last complete big 10 championship, they were co champions in 2004 so I go back to their relevance what about their school would attract a kid from SEC conference territory to go to the little ten instead of playing for a school in the best conference in america

I do remember Mich. State signing players we couldn't sign. As far as Michigan, I don't remember that many names, but they seemed to get their share. Didn't they just have a QB from South Florida?

I get the SEC pride, but you're underestimating Michigan; they are a big time academic institution with a big time football tradition. I think they have twice the national titles that we have (I know they were awhile back, but they count).

Whenever they have a decent coach, recruits are going to take a look and some will go for it.

And what do you make of a school like UGA? One national title in their entire history and that was over 30 years ago. Why would any decent recruit even bother? :joecool:
