isnt he from Kentucky? Lets see if they stick. I dont know why someone would question Michigan getting good recruits it has everything a prospect would want

They haven't been relevant in decades I would understand if this was Ohio state pulling them but this is Michigan when was the last time they even went to a bcs game

recruiting is about relationship more than anything else when you are talking about major football programs

Greg Mattison is their defensive coordinator and great recruiter. One of the best in the business at ND, Michigan, and UF previously, along with Ravens. Big difference between that and our recruiting coordinator, who lacks major program experience and was never a great recruiter. Look at difference Mark Stoops has had with recruits in year one at UK.

And he is from Kentucky my fault I just assumed he was from Florida, with these high profile players they certainly might be relevant in the near future,

I think they are relevant now. They better continue to recruit well because Urban is on a war path and Bill O'Brien can coach and recruit even with limited scholarships.

I expect big things out of Gary Andersen, too. He actually reminds me of an undamaged Urban.

They have a bcs win before our last one. Are we not relevant then? Lol

Yea and on TOS, it says Lane is picking soon, and they don't even list Florida as a finalist?

They used to own south Florida. Does the name Anthony Carter ring a bell? It was just a matter of time before they came back. They've never let up recruiting in our back yard. Great school. Program might or might be on the come-back, but they're getting the benefit of the doubt now. We've just got to win more games than they do and in a tougher conference.

IMHO, OSU is a piece of crap school, mostly because of its size and the overall campus setting, never mind who their coach is. If I were a parent, I wouldn't let my kid even visit. FWIW, My kids visited or applied to almost half the Big 10 schools between them. OSU didn't get a look from either.

It is simple, we don't know what we're doing, can't close, don't get NSD surprises and can't recruit big men in hoops.

Right now? Michigan weather. (It's 70 and sunny here in Chicago, less than an hour from the Michigan border.) Ask me again in Feb. but I had the time of my life once sledding at Warren Dunes, almost 300 feet tall. Skiing in Traverse City is the best anywhere in the midwest. If you're an avid craft beer drinker, you won't find better porters or stouts than what they pour at Bells and Founders. I don't ice fish, my friends who do say that Lake Michigan and Lake Erie are great.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. If you pick a school based on your tolerance for weather (think two-a-days in Gainesville) you're not tough enough for college football.

There are better reasons for George to come to UF.

We have a bunch of top flight RB"s on campus so maybe some recruits don't like their chances of playing early.
