I feel bad for Ronald Powell. I wonder if staying another year would have helped his draft position, even if he remained healthy.

As for the other guys, I expect only Easley will have met his expectation.

Easley will be happy, everyone else will be like "WTF?", especially Purifoy. Apparently school isn't really his thing, hope he makes it in this big, crazy, world.

Agree on Powell, he dominated the US Army AA game and seemed like a great kid. I was at the O&B Game when he tore his ACL, always wondered if we may have been able to take the next step in the 2012 season had he been healthy.

They will say, "I hope we can make as much $$$ as the Bama Juniors did while they were in school"

Assuming they have even a shred of respect and communication skills, some powerful Gator alum will have a job for them if going pro doesn't work out.

Wish RoPo the best and hope he can avoid a career ending injury. Other than Chucky's owner, the others would have done well to either come back or worked more diligently for the combine and pro day.

Ropo's probably wishing he'd played TE.

I think I read the other day that the Bucs have something like 25 undrafted kids on the roster. There is still hope for them.

That may be true. The current roster, though looks to be more than 80 players. Many of those undrafted members will be cut. Upon looking at their roster, I realized that they picked up Major Wright. Hope he can be successful under Lovie.

Doug Johnson said on Vettels show the other day-that if you didn't go by round 4, it was better to not get drafted at all. Then you could pick a good situation for yourself.

I don't know what they will say, because I don't know them personally, but if they are honest, they will say "I screwed up." Especially Powell. Its always the second season after an ACL that the player is really back. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Purifoy and Roberson had bad years. If they had come back and played lights out, their video could have overcome their slow 40 times (see Easley. Bellichek quoted in Today's Sun that his video was so good that it overcame injury worries and the fact that Easley didn't even work out for the teams).

Oh, and while improving their draft stock, they could have gotten, or gotten closer to, their degrees. With all the help the UAA and the OSL give our athletes, almost anyone that gives a decent effort can graduate in something.

I feel bad for ropo, but he's not exactly a freakish physical specimen like a kearse or clowney.

A sixth round pick making league minimum for two years does NOT beat a degree at UF. He had to stay just one more year.

To me, these decisions just blow my mind.

Alright, I have been sitting on this because it is brutal and they are our guys. But it was just set up too easily (you are forewarned).

What will the Gator Juniors Say on Monday after the draft?

to be fair, I had hoped they all turned out like Easley. Every time a DB gets selected or one of the Florida teams make a pick, I wonder why Roberson or Purifoy aren't selected. As for RoPo, don't know where he was academically, but he should have come back

The biggest problem I see with these juniors leaving early versus the ones in the past is that in the past we had a winning record and a team in general that gave our players more credibility as strong players in the SEC and against other rivals. These guys were starters on a 4-8 team... They should have kept the league's, NFL's, perception in mind... because they weren't even that dominant on team that wasn't even that good. Talent alone in the combines is/was not enough to sway the NFL scouts to pick them high in the draft.

Ropo was a rJR so for all we know, he could have his degree. Concerning Roberson and Purifoy, I couldn't agree with you more.

Ropo just wasn't a very good player. Maybe he should have played TE. Never saw a defensive midset outta him.

I bet these guys are completely baffled. Going into the season Kiper and the gurus had Purifoy and Roberson going in the first round. Not sure where he came up with that, but whatever. SI still had Roberson going round 2 and the highest drafted Gator. Looks like they all made a bad decision.
