Valid point. I use strength of schedule to access teams all the time. But they also beat a Georgia team that was better than we were, in spite of all their injuries. They weren't the strongest 9-win team out there, but they DID win 9 games.

What people are doing by saying, "WTF?!? We lost to VANDY!!", are thinking that this was a 2-10 Vandy team that goes 0-8 against BCS conference competition. We needed OT at home to beat a 5-6 Vandy team in 2005, and our 1996 MNC team was very lucky to beat a 2-9 Vandy team.

Losing to Vandy always sucks, but at least they had a good team last year. It wasn't a typical Vandy team. I think this year, they will be closer to that typical Vandy team, and not just because their head coach went to Penn State. They lose a bunch of starters.

Bottomline, if we win big this season 2011 and 2013 will be forgotten, and Roper will be the talk of the town. If we are average, or somehow get worse, 2012 will be an after-thought.

11 wins was great that season, but I think folks were on edge that season due to the team's tendency to play way down to its competition. Having to sweat it out against ULL and Missouri, and the bowl game no-show was what really brought the hype down that season. Remember how we kept talking about our SOS and the lack of respect the team was getting despite being 11-1? Everyone was saying we were pretenders and just got lucky to win 11 games. We had the chance to prove them wrong finally, and we lay an egg in the Sugar Bowl.

We WILL be much better than manny of you think.

I still say 8-4 and WM stays at 7-5 if they play well.

Y'all are harsh. If we play sloppy, that's on the coach. If we get hurt or beat by a more talented team that's just football.

And Bazza did the boys in OH (Ornamental Horticulture) from IFIS give you some of their "G'Ville Green"

    Dude, I love your outlook:cool:

It's not relevant what I prefer, in regard to his coaching accomplishment it may be better to go 11-1 and not win the sec in a loaded conference, vs 9-3 in a weak conference and win the east or the whole thing. His 2012 season was excellent.

I hear you and pretty much agree, although 7-5 things will be noisy and I would say his chances of staying are only 50%, I would not let him go if we look good at 7-5. We will see.

As to your question.......I'm not at liberty to say but five years living in Gatorland - I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

9-3, wins over all except Bama, FSU and one of LSU, UGA , USCe, UF is possible SEC East champ depending on how chips fall. If he wins the SEC East or wins 10+, he is officially off the hot seat, if only 9 wins or less then still on the hot seat.

Think 2015 could be shaping up to be a great year for UF if it has a reliable QB, Bama off schedule, FSU at home, UF should be deeper on OL and DL and really good everywhere else.

I expect an 8-4 regular season and probably 8-5 overall with a loss in our bowl game and I don't think it will be enough.

Winston will doubtless be gone after this year, as he was a RS Frosh last year. Scumbag though he is, he is a tremendous quarterback.

Agreed. We only have six seniors on the starting lineup this year. Bama will be off, and whoever replaces them will be easier than the Tide. LSU loses six senior starters next year, and will doubtless lose 2-3 more early, as they usually do. Georgia will lose heavily on defense, and gurley will be gone. USCe is still very young, but they will break in a new QB, as Thompson and six other seniors will be gone.

Not saying we will be MNC contenders (we'll have to see how this year turns out), but if we have a good year this year, we can take the next step up the following year.

Hot seat if we win 9 games? No chance of that.

So, if he goes 9-3 under this scenario, in which we still could miss the SECC game, he deserves a raise? No way. Heck, he should return the $4 million or so he stole last season, simply for the job performance on November 23 alone.

In the few posts you've had, you have used vicious nicknames for past coaches and rival players and coaches, or have ripped the living Hell out of OUR coach, who is STILL OUR coach.

Wake me when you have a single post that isn't filled with hate or vitriol for someone, OK?

So I guess you are tickled with the $1 million per win investment from last season?
