Valid point. I use strength of schedule to access teams all the time. But they also beat a Georgia team that was better than we were, in spite of all their injuries. They weren't the strongest 9-win team out there, but they DID win 9 games. What people are doing by saying, "WTF?!? We lost to VANDY!!", are thinking that this was a 2-10 Vandy team that goes 0-8 against BCS conference competition. We needed OT at home to beat a 5-6 Vandy team in 2005, and our 1996 MNC team was very lucky to beat a 2-9 Vandy team. Losing to Vandy always sucks, but at least they had a good team last year. It wasn't a typical Vandy team. I think this year, they will be closer to that typical Vandy team, and not just because their head coach went to Penn State. They lose a bunch of starters.
