Some of you guys need to chill out a bit and take it down a notch or two.

There will be disagreement but do it respectfully and avoid personal remarks toward each other.

    Thx!

    Nice call, Bazza!

We know we have a proven field stretcher with Andre. And we have some other guys who can do it too.

If we can get the ball to them accurately, we'll make big plays down field and keep the defense from constricting the field on us. Most everything else Roper wants us to do should be open for business then and we'll be a difficult offense to contain.

Getting back to the original question .. beating either of the two top-ranked teams in the country this season .. on the road .. might be too much to expect. But upsetting Georgia, South Carolina or LSU is doable.
I predict we win at least one of those three.
If we win two of those three Will Muschamp deserves a big raise.

He won 11 games, why are you saying he won nothing?

Great! East? SEC? Bowl game? MNC?

Let me ask you a question, would you rather go 9-3 and win the SEC or 11-2 and win nothing? There's your answer.

Muschamp won a so-called SEC East title in 2012. He shared it with Georgia. Zook also shared an SEC East title with Georgia in 2003.

By his definition, Spurrier was largely a failure after Danny left. Oh wait! He DID go to Atlanta twice (didn't get any ring for it, however, as the SEC East title was non-existent). Of course:

    * In 1999, his only competition for the SEC East was 9-win Tennessee, whom he barely beat. His reward was getting embarrassed by Alabama in the SECCG, and

    * In 2000, his SEC competition consisted of three 8-4 teams, along with three more 8-4 teams from the SEC West. He beat an inferior Aubnr team in the SECCG.

    * In 1997, 1998 and 2001, Spurrier won NOTHING in spite of going 10-2 each year. As the Ball Coach lamented after the 2001 season, "I guess 10-win seasons are no longer good enough at the University of Florida..." He left immediately afterwards...

    An utter failure...

So you actually consider winning 11 games in a season nothing? Winning 4 games in a season is nothing.....winning 11 games in a season is something. Tough crowd......I'll take 11 wins a season with or with out an East, SEC, or a friggin bowl win. Apparently you forgot how tough it is to win 11 games in a single season in the SEC. It's not like everybody and their brothers are doing it........

It's tough to win 11 games ANYWHERE. What Boom did in 2012, going 4-2 against teams with double-digit wins was amazing. It was simply a matter of timing...

Of course it is something. 11 wins is a nice season but no hardware and he got killed in our bowl game.

I never said I wouldn't take 11 wins(show me where I said that). I did not forget anything considering I never said anything above. I NEVER SAID WINNING 11 GAMES IS NOTHING. If you are going to start an argument at least comprehend what the other person said. I said he won nothing as in the East, SEC or a national title. I even prefaced it. You are too quick to try to protect Muschamp instead of actually reading what I posted.

Tough crowd? Dude went 4-8 and lost to Vandy. He also lost to bowl subdivision team. He has TWO(not one but two) 3-5 seasons in SEC play. I'd say me being worried about the direction of the program is warranted. HOWEVER, Foley has given him one last try(and yes it is his last hurrah no matter how many excuses you make for the guy). SO, let's see what the guy is made of instead of arguing about an 11 season that was ages ago. No matter how hard you try he still didn't win anything of import.

He man, why so serious? We're just trying to have a civil convo, and you keep coming back with angered comments and posts.

We get it....you hate Muschamp and wanted him fired last year. You and several others on here think along the same lines. That's fine. You're all allowed to have your opinions sir.

That said....there is no reason at all to be so pissed off that all your post look like you're going to come through our monitors and stab us in the eye with an icepick. Chill out man. There is still a long time until the next season starts. At the rate you're going, you're going to make it even longer for yourself stressing over everything so much.

g8t: Thanks. I needed that. While I do think he should have been let go, he was not. So, I trust Mr Foley!!!!

Boy, how times have changed! When I was at Florida 7-4 was considered a great season. You go Coach Graves! I still remember his famous line to Otis Boggs, "If we score more points than them we have a chance to win" As this was before a Vandy game.

First of all, I think it's important to look at things relatively:

Vanderbilt was 9-4 last year, but who did they play and beat?
    Austin Peay - FCS
    UMASS - FCS
    2-10 UAB
    2-10 UK
    4-8 Floirda
    4-8 Wake Forest
    5-7 Tennessee

They only beat two teams with winning records:
    8-5 UGA
    8-5 Houston

So this is why you can't just look at records. Vanderbilt was a 9 win team sure, but I would say that Texas A&M, for example, who also won 9 games, was a much better team, and had TAMU had Vandy's schedule, I believe they would have won 10 games or more. Similarly, had UF played Vandy's schedule, UF probably would have won 7 games, even with the injuries. If Vanderbilt had played Florida's schedule, they would have been probably a 6 win team. Which is what Florida should have been even with the injuries.
