    Shorts and usually start with the jersey and a tshirt, then lose the jersey pretty quick, then usually lose the tshirt after that, for better or worse.

    He has to have a gigantic wedgy going on. That just looks really uncomfortable.

    Personally, I like to wear some gator gym type shorts. (Kind of like basketball shorts) And then a gator shirt, of course. Along with my gator fossil. No hat....

    I have been known to paint my face orange/blue. (Rare occasion)

    Lol @ some of the responses on this thread! I'm cracking up over here.

    My no# 1 blue jersey, orange shirt under, and the same pair of game day jeans -
    Visor is ifffy - depending on if we need some ol school power that I think the ol ball coach might want us to have for the game.
    And Drink Gatorade during the game.

    bought some blue n orange jordan flip flops this year --come on good luck.

    here's what i see, fans AT the game giving their money and support to the team/university, and surrounding community. at lot more than am sure that some of the living room hi def fans can say.

    and before anyone needs to mention it, i've never owned denim shorts. i think denim is the worst material ever. way to hot for my liking.

    Why is it that in college football only kids should wear jerseys but in the NFL virtually everyone is wearing them? If you go to a Jets tailgate, jerseys are all you see - fans even wear them over hoodies when it gets cold.

    I don't have a dog in the fight, but it's just weird how college football evolved a culture of dressing up.

    I noticed that, too. It's almost like a point of pride especially at some Southern schools to get so dressed up. Maybe it's tradition or something...don't know. Some of the more "experienced" football fans might be able to shed some light on this.

    I was always very impressed with UGA fans back in the day, dressed to the nines and looking down at Gator fans... and showing their class by cussing and barking and throwing empty bottles at Gator fans.

    Very classy folks. :rolleyes:

    Clothes don't make the fans classy. However, I promote at least minimum requirements for myself and compatriots:

    -if you are over 13, don't wear a jersey (college or pro);
    -no jorts;
    -collared shirt or something other than t-shirt;
    -khakis (long or short);
    -no tank tops for the fellas;
    -no Crocs; and
    -unless you are a woman, keep your shirt(s) on - especially important on hot days - you simply are NOT too sexy for your shirt.
