I know it's considered bad to eat or snack too late.
Unless you get indigestion that causes a problem, don't really think it matters all that much. Was just over in Greece and Italy and everyone eats between 9-11 and they don't have the issues.
Eat whenever the heck you like. It really doesnt matter.

Competing for that extra 10 lbs or extra .01 seconds off your time, all that matters is cals in- cals out
I think it depends on on your own preferences. Your body will tell you the optimum time itself.
I eat dinner at five or six.. only because that's how grandma did it while she raised me.
I eat between 5-6 during the week usually. That's when I get home and gives us time as a family to calmly get through dinner and clean up before we have to get the kiddo to bed (6 years old).
When he gets older and is allowed to stay up later, then I can see that moving further into the evening.
I eat when my wife gets home from work, around 7:00, though we've been eating a little later this summer with my kids home from college. That's typically an hour after my workout on workout days. I'll usually eat a little something again around 9:00. I typically have about five meals a day, though some of them could hardly be called meals. I'm just better with portion control if I don't let myself get hungry. I also seem to maintain a more consistent energy level.

I usually eat between 8 and 9, sometimes later.
As a single man...sometimes I eat at 5p.m. and sometimes I eat at 2 in the morning. I do as I please, just eat healthy.
The best time to eat dinner is at 6.00 pm. This is because, it is important to eat dinner early so as to allow digestion to take place before you go to bed. In addition to this, dinner food should be balanced with protein, complex carbohydrates and good fats. I think we should eat dinner at least 2 hours before to go to bed.
I agree with the 2 hour part, if only for disgestive issues, but some of us go to bed later. Time is irrelevant.
