I know their season was, once again, anything but Amazing (3rd year in a row), but that hasn't hurt him in recruiting until this year (much like Richt).

This year, 247 has him ranked at #21 (last year 5th, first 8th) with only 21 commits, 3 EEs, and the highest scoring player at .948? I guess that Smart has replaced him, despite completely lacking Harbaugh's charisma.

Because he's an average coach at a cold weather school......the bloom is off the rose

Harbaugh is an ass--and that's putting it kindly.

Unless you're winning and competing for titles (like Saban), that's not a coach most people want to play for, absent a strong connection to the school.

There was an article stating that Mac was in Ann Arbor on Tuesday interviewing for their OC's job. That might have something to do with it................................

Looking back at Harbaugh's prior "good" classes, they weren't necessarily that great. They were mostly bumped up by huge overall numbers. Their pre-recruit ratings weren't that great. The current class is tiny compared to what they had been signing. I don't think the prior classes were as great as they were ranked and this class probably isn't as bad as it is ranked.

They did land Shae Patterson as a transfer though, who is a beast.

And, interestingly enough, Taylor Upshaw, the 3* DE who decommitted from UF when Mac left. He was viewed as a bit of a project.

Starting to have some assistant coaching turnover Can no longer run on NFL and 49ers. Losing all their rivalry games. They know his game now.

Could also be the restraining orders that prevent sleepovers with 17 year old kids.

Longing again for NFL after seeing Gruden contract.

Look for Harbaugh to be on the hot seat. Mich went all in. Yes, they looked all world beating Florida but it turned out we were god awful. Mich either has to live with Harbaugh, and be mediocre, or pay him a lot of money to leave.

He has done well with qb transfers, getting rudock in his first yr got them off to a good start. Of course he has had a couple transfer out. Patterson should save the day this yr.

I may be the only guy on here that’s likes Harbaugh.

I sat with him at an autograph show at Disney.

We were warned that Kerry Collins was an ass, he wasn’t and neither was Warren Moon who they said could be a problem

Sat with Jim Kelly and Bernie Kosar and was supposed to get Vinny but he blew off the show.

So I got Jim instead. He is a great guy that treated the crew with respect and all I can say I liked him almost as much as Kelly that shared his snickers bars with me.

Funny thing is I hate Michigan worst of all but I still like Jim.

Once you know someone for who they truly are the quirky acts makes sense.

    What happened to Harbaugh?
He only got to play one team "coached" by JMac and Nuss.

Michigan did one of their satellite camps in Norfolk, VA with ODU.

The two coaching staffs held like a mini coaching clinic for high school coaches.

It was pretty cool, good spread of food, Bobby Wilder (ODU Head Coach) and Harbaugh got up to say a few words before the clinic kicked off.

I gotta say that I am definitely glad I got to the food before Harbaugh. While Coach Wilder was talking, Harbaugh was standing over the food chomping away at come chips. Wasn't a huge deal until he took off his hat and started scratching a hole in his scalp. Of course after that he also had to scratch his brain and went through his nose to get it done. Then proceeded to continue eating with the same hand.

To bad, those were some damn good wings and I was looking forward to heading back up there.

Let's not forget that the 49ers front office couldn't stand him. Whilst the executives couldn't stand him JH was pushing and pushing for more and more control of the team.

The Niners were so sick of him/his attitude that they tried to work out a trade with the browns. He runs most people the wrong way regardless of where he is.

Nowadays you can make more money by being fired than you can by keeping your job.
