Eliot Spitzer aka Client #9, former NY Governor that was caught in a prostitution ring, is running for NYC comptroller I believe. Anthony Weiner is running for NYC Mayor. They'll be on the same ballot.

You can't make this stuff up. Seriously.

And John F. Kennedy was banging chicks in the white house. And Bill Clinton was getting serviced by an intern.

Yeah my take was more the "I can't believe these guys are running again". That and the usual double standard where I'd love to see what would happen if a female high-ranking politician did that and would happen to HER life and career. And that's regardless of party affiliation.

How these men think they can be trusted, and worse, how people can be dumb enough to believe they can be trusted... Weiner at least was just personal stupidity. Spitzer was caught in an illegal prostitution ring. Sanford was just, well again, personally stupid but I think some of his trysts happened on the state's money/time so I have a problem with him. As for JFK and Clinton, you're NOT going to impeach someone for having an affair. That's ridiculous.

Personal stupidity I can deal with but Illegal activities/use of public funds for affairs - I wouldn't be able to trust them.

Neither of those guys were elected after those facts came out, though, which makes it different from Spitzer, Wiener, Sanford ...

Don't be so objective in your analysis.

Well I don't think the point was "politicians do bad things" because there isn't enough database room to list all of those.

Seems to me the point is "look at these brazen idiots who were shamed out of office trying to get elected again," and worse: "look at these braindead voters once again voting for these people."

Which is an indictment of partisan loyalty which is on full display in this thread. Disheartening to see since politicians on both sides are guilty of indefensible behavior and yet the mindless finger pointing continues

Ashley Dupre should run against him. She would win.

Yeah, this! That pretty much sums it up. If it was no big deal and they're running for office again, why quit in the first place and put the taxpayers through all that?

Some politicians only know how to be a politician. They'll starve on the street without a gov. job.

This times infinity. The only plus of being here is my husband's job, the school district and having 4 seasons. That's pretty much it. Oh and going to the pumpkin patch around Halloween and having it be nice and "crisp". But that's it.

Except for my husband's job. Extremely specialized field. Only labs are here, California, Canada and Europe (well, China but no thanks). It's not something that can be done on remote, either.

Again, I can complain all I want, but I'm darn thankful to God that he has a steady job that's not going anywhere and that we have the medical coverage needed for my issues without bankrupting us, and that we are in a very highly-ranked school district for my kids.

But yeah, it sucks - he's a Dolphins fan and we're in Bills country. Not easy being SEC Fans up here, either - although needling all the OSU people is always fun ;)

Personally don't give a shite unless they ran big on family values.
