Anyone seen the Lipozene commercial ? Claims that in a clinical trial the weight-loss was 78% bodyfat. This is far from remarkable as weight-loss is typically predominantly bodyfat.

    But here's the kicker:

The claim is that people lose weight on Lipozene without changing their lifestyle. And even as the claim is made the fine print at the bottom of the screen reads:

RESULTS MAY VARY: DIET AND EXERCISE ARE ADVISED

I love one of the claims by the people in the ads about it giving them energy to burn after working out, well what do they expect the pills are essentially just caffiene. Meth and crack also have very similar side affects.

Projections are that the FDA will approve and honest-to-goodness anti-obesity pill soon. Here's the kicker: the pill promises to reduce bodyweight by up to 10% in a year's time. That is a quite modest result that many will be able to achieve, in a few weeks' time, simply through basic lifestyle adjustments.

The body already has an ingenious method of eliminating toxins.

And all it takes is a few minutes a day and a good magazine.

And are arguably much more effective. I mean who has ever seen a fat meth addict or crackhead?

Meth also serves to reduce bodyweight through the elimination of your teeth.

Other than pills that control hunger, there are no weight loss pills.

    Well maybe a laxative...

Well, there will be an actual weight-loss pill fairly soon. I mentioned it in my post #5. But of course side-effects are unknown and, in my opinion, based on projections, it won't be magical, just 10% of bodyweight over a year.

Wow, imagine the results of the weight loss pill and my electro-shock ab belt.

I am going to have a body the gods haven't even imagined, without even getting up from the couch!

Do you have any info on the pill? I don't want to take it but am curious as to what's in it and the theory of how it works? Does it somehow form a wall in your digestive track to block absorbtion of calories (which sounds like a terrible idea) or somehow magically increase your metabolism. It seems like one of those things that if it actually worked would completely screw up your natural digestive system once you stop taking it.

Yes, it's Qnexa. And the going controversy appears to be how widely it would be made available if approved. That right there hints at something fairly dicey.

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/melanie...-qnexa-promises-10-weight-loss-at-what-price/

Well this doesn't sound like a good idea. It's a mix between a medicine used to treat bi polar disorder with slight weight loss side effects and basically amphetamine. So basically it's a drug that messes with your heart and causes it to race with a drug that makes you sleepy and suicidal. Which sounds a lot like mixing an upper and downer in one convenient pill!

The article even says the amphetamine part essentially causes anorexia for a few weeks before plateauing.

I'm thinking we just modify Dream's motto to "eat less smoke more meth"

For the record I don't smoke meth or crack. I feel like I've taken a very pro meth/crack stance in this thread :)
