Let's face it. He made his share of mistakes, but he had us within a Jordan Reed fumble of the SEC championship game last year. I got really high on murph after UK and Tenn but that was premature. We sorely miss Jeff Driskel. He wasn't the número uno recruit out of high school for no reason.

Driskel was not really the problem but it's pointless to talk QBs now...No one can play behind this o-line.

Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas are poor teams. We were badly exposed by a good team, who just two years ago, was a decent but not great Big XII team...

Now, I predicted 8-4 this preseason, with the possibility of being even worse with key injuries. Those injuries happened. No sense of Gator entitlement here, so I am not bitterly disappointed at what transpired thus far. Saw it coming.

murphy--decent backup, but not a bigtime QB--can't make routine plays and can't make plays under pressure

meh... I said when Jeff was the starter that he wasn't the problem.

Now I'll say the same thing about Murph.

The outcome the last two weeks wouldn't have been any different with either QB.

No we weren't. JD did a terrible job against Miami and in that one drive vs UT. He is far from the main problem though. Coaching is the main problem.

How can anyone come to any logical conclusion about how good either QB is playing behind this offensive line? I believe both guys can be starters in the SEC if the offensive scheme played to their strengths instead of a head coach's macho desire to out muscle and out last every team.

Even JD would have had major problems behind this O-line. Murphy never had a chance.

No. A lack of experienced talent is the problem.

We don't miss Driskel at all. Murphy was an upgrade at the QB position. The problem is that since he came around, the OL play has been steadily declining with each game.

My story is that Murphy is an upgrade, but he was injured last week against LSU and that injury affected his ability to make good throws. That, and a crappy offensive line...and poor play selection.

    I want what you're smoking.

The team supporting Murphy has steadily played worse in each successive weak.

If Driskel was out there now, it could be even worse (if that's possible)

Yes, we would have fared much better against the Mizzou rush with Driskel's average release time of 22 seconds.

Didn't say he was Peyton, but Murphy can play; he played hurt and he was certainly off on some throws but I don't consider Murphy (or JD for that matter) to be a scrub.

I have to disagree with you on this one, Nicho. Driskel is very good most of the time.

Still see Murphy as an upgrade.
