Let's don't kid ourselves anymore. Whatever we thought could happen as far as team quality is out the window...history. So now we must figure out how to get joy and team spirit from an average team.
Focus more on the cheerleader's performances.
Keep sideline fights and brawls off the field of play.
Watch players challenge WM in stare-down contests.
Keep the opposing teams first string on the field for longer then 3 quarters.
Finding solace in other Florida teams getting destroyed.
    any others?

I think you're being too kind. We are the basically at the bottom of all the stats that matter

We actually are a well below average team in just about every statistical category except TOP and recruiting rankings.

OK so lets say we are sub-par lousy team. What can we take solace in? There must be something to look forward to? Just one solitary thing that is possible even with a sub-par lousy team?
Are we now allowed to respect and notice other team's athletes and performances or do we continue on with we are the center of the Solar system attitude and everything revolves around us?

We have a bad/injured offensive line, not a bad team. If we could block then all of these repetitive threads from sad sack fans wouldn't exist.

Yes, without Matt Jones, Dominck Easley, Chas Green, Ronald Powell, Damien Jacobs, and even Jeff Driskell we are an average team.

Look, I like your glass half-full type of attitude, but there is nothing to take solace in with this staff or team right now. Players and coaches are bickering with each other and players are acting out in frustration on opposing players on the field (even after a called time out). It appears the HC has lost control of this team IMO. I do feel we have enough talent to be competitive regardless of our injuries.

Someone on here had a rundown of issues over the past 3 years, not just this season. You should take a look at it. We have a systematic problem that needs to he dealt with one way or another. We are stuck in limbo

How many offensive linemen are out because of injuries? One that I know of. So I would have hoped we could survive one injury to the O-line.

even with a serviceable/healthy offensive line

    what else do we have?

average QBs who we basically ask to be game-managers and caretakers. anytime you ask your QB to do this you don't trust him.

average running backs who don't strike fear in anyone since they there's no thread of them ripping off a 70-yard run

    average group of wide receivers

    no tight end threats

problem goes deeper than offensive line IMO

Average you say? That's being kind compared to what Muschamp said about them.

He used the word inept which means having or showing no skill. Incompetent!

Well, wouldn't you be below average to fit this definition?

Which goes to show, I guess, that recruiting is very overrated.

How do we compare to USF? Haven't heard much about them since they canned Lou Holtz's boy. Are we the fourth or fifth best team in the state? (Surely we're better than FIU or FAU, though I'm not sure why I say that.)

The more I think about the word average, the more I realize the different answers you'll get depending if you're asking a female or male.

I don't know if you played organized football or .....check that I don't now if you ever played fb or not but the last thing in the world I wanted to here from my coach is admitting we stink and are incompetent. That would make we want to find something better to do with my time. Just don't understand how this thing went south so fast?

At least Muschamp didn't refer to the OL as "more wasted scholarships." As far as I know he has only said that of one player (on the defense).
