UF outrebounded by 20 by the worst rebounding team in the SEC. Ouch.

This is a tough one., and one we need to get back @UGA. Williams has got to learn from this, especially without Mercer. It took Moss the entire season to find a groove last year. We need Ronni to be ahead of that curve.

UGa started 0-4 and was in last place in the SEC. They have won 2 straight.
UF now 3-2 in the SEC, and head to Knoxville next. Uh oh.

Very disappointing loss - not much else to say. Mostly due to horrible zone defense and rebounding that was really exposed once UGA stopped turning it over.

UGA is not the worst rebounding team in the SEC by a long shot (7th of 14 in rebounding margin coming into today), but still they barely outsize us and having a -19 margin against them is embarrassing, especially when it came almost entirely through hustle and taking advantage of UF players being totally out of position, not hustling and/or not boxing out.

This pretty much negates the big win at KY from an SEC standings perspective where we obviously need to finish in the top half to get an NCAA bid.

We need 8 wins to get to the NCAA.... Auburn, Bama, and Missouri we should be favored. Those are must wins.... home against UK, @Arkansas, @Ole Miss we need to win two of those or pull an upset. Rough road but still doable.

Talk to the UF radio guy then about what rebounding stat he was using then. He's the one who kept saying they were the worst rebounding team in the SEC.

Out courtesy of an elbow from Ronni Williams! I'll be back with some game observations later.

The odds of UF going to the NCAA tournament are extremely thin. RPI going into today was #71 and just going .500 in the conference won't be enough.

Plus, UF just isn't very good right now and winning even two or three more SEC games will be very difficult.

First, a couple of pre-game thoughts...

It should be perfectly legal to bitch slap any man who will not remove his hat during the playing of the national anthem.

Steffi Sorensen was part of the TV broadcast crew. For those of you who did not see the game all I can say is WOW! Awesome looking woman.

And The Dazzlers, with a couple of exceptions, are not really that Dazzling. Some just don't look real good in those spandex pants.

Now, on to the game. For those of you who do not care for my opinions on the play of the women's team, you should probably skip the next part.

Great crowd today. Lower level was pretty much full except for the west end where the pep band squats. Lots of leg humpers there too.

I fully expected to see Andy Landers head explode at some point. Man, that coach is intense.

The better team won. They played team basketball. Make the extra pass to find the open shooter. We did not. Still too much helter skelter throw up a wild shot offense. And there were a couple of players who seemed more interested in playing one on one basketball instead of team basketball.

Ronni Williams played a good 15 minutes of basketball. Great defense and good offense. Then she got tired or lazy or whatever and reverted back to the bad Ronni. Reaching, out of position and not moving her feet on defense and in 5 minutes, she was gone. Again. Two of the calls were questionable as they were pretty blatant flops.

Another terrible shooting performance by Peoples. 2 for 12 I think. But then as a team we did not shoot it really well. The leg humpers hit 8 threes while we could only sink 3.

No. 13 for the humpers is a flopping machine. She was able to draw two fouls on Williams by flopping. Painfully obvious flops but she got the calls.

As stated above, we were out hustled and out of position on defense but that has been a problem here for a long time.

Gonna be a tight stretch run for this team. I think everyone feels Coach needs to make the tourney to survive (not sure Foley is included in everyone though, lol) so games like this are crucial. For every missed opportunity the margin of error gets reduced.
They have had some tough luck for sure. But just can't see that buying time yet again. Hope they can pull it off.

Exactly. If it was a 1 season type of thing you can buy the whole give her one year thing, but this seems to happen every season with the team.
