Well the clock is definitely ticking down, but has not struck midnight yet. With two games left to play, the ladies need one more win to have a chance at the NCAAs.
Vandy may be their best hope for that, but @ Vandy with their strange elevated court, I don't see it happening. But fingers crossed.
Win and you're in.
Playing very well right now, up by 14 less then a minute left in the first half
Score please? Espn ignoring the game.
We r up 62-56 with 3 minutes left
Officials have really interjected themselves for the Doré's, but we have been able to keep a lead
candy is hacking away with no calls and we get two bad calls in a row on us.
Great just lost signal
Gators win!!! That should about lock up a tourney bid!!! Let's wait for the Vandy is terrible.... Fire Butler crowd's next excuse!
I think they may need one more to be safe (RPI going into tonight was 68), but big win regardless. Vandy 's RPI was 25.
Hope this is enough to put us in the NCAA but regardless, this team has way exceeded expectations! Great job Ladies!
One more would be great insurance but 8-8 at worst now with several RPI Top 50 wins isn't too shabby for a team predicted to finish near the bottom. We can still possibly get the 4th bye for the SEC tourney as well.
Jeckell and Hyde team
We were just barely in BEFORE this win on ESPN. A loss to Texas A&M won't really hurt with their RPI... would love to see a win in the SEC tournament though.
In an unrelated matter. Tennessee is really getting screwed by these refs at LSU.
Might need a win in the 1st round of the SEC tournament to clinch a berth in the NCAA tournament.
Right now we look like a likely 5 seed for the SEC but 4 and 6 are in play still.... A 5 would give us the easiest opening match plus line us up for UK (3rd time is bad but better than USC or UT)
Butler's job is now safe. Hot seat turned cold. Open win in tourney the ladies have a lock but I think they are in.
It's a very good win....but I really haven't seen anyone denigrate the successes when they have occurred. Why is it necessary for you to take a shot at posters than differ from your opinion (I consider myself on the fence)?
Clearly you are the most knowledgeable poster here when it comes to women's hoops....and you do a great job of updating recruiting and reviewing the team and the conference. I would say the discussions regarding Butler's future have been pretty fair and reasonable for the most part, granted there are occasional exceptions. Even you have recognized the legitimate issues and concerns regarding the program..... but you don't like it when there is piling on after a tough loss. Fair enough, but crowing after a win kind of rubs the same way. Let's evaluate the seasons body of work at the end and and make our informed decision....and then Foley can do want he is going to do without the least interest in our opinion (as it should be,lol).
