Last games loss was one that got away. UF is going to need a miracle to pull this one off. Hope they can do it!

After this game, things will get easier for a few games.

It's never easy in the SEC! If it was, the semen-holes would have joined up long ago.

One thing is for sure, Tennessee is no longer the unbeatable elite powerhouse it was under Pat Summit. They have clearly slipped when compared to programs like UCONN, Stanford, Duke, and Notre Dame. So a win can happen.

Friend of mines daughter plays at UT(Burdick) kids are really unhappy there. Don't be surprised to see some changes in the off season. Maybe with the internal strife we can sneak one out

UT, A&M, SC, and LSU are our worst matchups size wise. To have any chance here we have to box out, hustle, and have our threes falling. The schedule this year is brutal... of the teams we play once, most all of them in the top half of the conference are on the road...@LSU, @UT, @Vandy, @South Carolina.... Texas A&M, who leads the conference, is the only one at home. Not to mention playing UK twice. UF rounds out the top 7.

Final score aside... I actually saw some things I liked. We are probably the smallest team in the conference and UT is probably the biggest in the country. Huge mismatch but they out rebounded us 38-37. If we bring that rebounding effort, all of our remaining games are in play minus one or two possibly. Bannister getting 20+ minutes and looking like she may be getting back to game form is encouraging. Williams played smarter and there are some signs of her growing up a little. Our threes didn't fall tonight, and it was gonna take a big night from 3 to compete. The brutal stretch is over though, but the next 4 are actually much more important. We have 4 straight against teams in the bottom half of the conference. We need to go 3-1 here at worst. We should be favored in all but the Arkansas game.

Watched portions of it on TV and it didn't seem like we played badly overall - we just have little hope of defending UT on a day when they shoot from 3 at the clip they did tonight.

I think we have to divide the remaining schedule into 4 parts. 1) The winnable stretch against the bottom teams of the conference. 2) The stretch against the middle teams of the conference. 3) The unbelievably tough portion of the schedule against the top 3 teams in the conference. 4) The SEC Tournament.

    1) Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas 4-0

    17-6 7-3

    2) Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri 2-1

    19-7 9-4

    3) South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M 0-3

    4) SEC Tournament-win at least 1 game 1-1

I think that would put us in good shape to get in. Anything less, and we will be in the WNIT again barring a huge run in the SEC Tournament. Anything more, and we are in for sure.

I still think we get in with 8-8 +1 in SEC tourney. SEC teams almost always go at .500. Our RPI benefits from the strength of the SEC schedule a the season progresses. 8-8 will put us safely in Top 60 or so. I can see anywhere from 7-10 wins with 8-8 most likely. 7 and Amanda really does have to worry...8 may be enough and 9 her seat cools off considerably.
