 HD, too. I've had a dongled HDMI connection or mirroring the last couple years and SD sucks.

    Anyone rocking Chromecast tomorrow?

Does it care about your internet provider?
I have a PC attached to my tv, but since I don't have cable tv, I am blocked from watching ESPN3 programming. I have time Warner cable modem.

Yeah, I think it asks for your cable provider. It was worth it though. Got to watch some espn3 content on my iPad. March madness was awesome on the iPad as well..

You can watch anything on ESPN3 without a cable subscription. But, if a game is televised on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, you have to have a cable login to see them on Watch ESPN.

If you have Comcast for your internet provider they'll still provide access to ESPN3. I've used it via Airplay in the past, but having it native on the Apple TV is better. The cracks in broadcast TV's monopoly on sports is starting to crack; the final wall to fall will sadly be for pro and college football.
