The financial impact went beyond gov dollars.
It's so sad that the premise of a partial govt shutdown, for 2 weeks, wiped out 1 million jobs, isn't a wake up call to the direction most politicians want to take the country. Not only are voters not outraged, they are celebrating.
No worries. Obama will resume his laser like focus on jobs and the economy. He will create a few more Barista jobs at Starbucks for our new college grads. And propose raising the food stamp monthly stipend and unemployment benefits for those not capable of grinding coffee.
I'd love to look at the nuts and bolts of how they came to this number.
I guess using the "jobs saved button" on the abacus....
So a 17% decrease I Gov workers cost .6 GDP, how when the Gov produces nothing but more red tape and taxes?
The corollary should be true the massive Gov expansion over the last 6 yrs should have the GDP up around 6%...not so much, any thoughts?
