The Navy shooting down FLT 800 was going to be plan B if plan A didn't work. Before 9/11, terrorists had run of the entire world. The idea that terrorist
cells were shooting down airplanes was not going to be made public. Then the Twin Towers fell and the cat was let out of the bag.

Being an ex-navy man, I cannot even imagine how you "accidentally" shoot down a 747 right off the coast of NY at night. Not like there is a missle range off the coast of Long island. Why would the missle even be armed?? Its' not like you got one guy pushing one button.

One of my Navy buddies who was a diver on Grasp when they were sent out to recover the Challenger bodies later became a SEAL. This was the same boat that recovered the flight 800 bodies 10 years later.

Funny how a decorated Vietnam vet who embodies everything we're encouraged to admire and respect suddenly becomes crazy the minute he insists on seeing what he saw.

Is it then your claim that "decorated Vietnam vet who embody everything we're encouraged to admire and respect" are incapable of having crazy notions?

    Please... Do tell?

Were there any eye witness accounts claiming to have seen Obama being born in Kenya?

I remember terrorism being the initial sentiment on the night it occurred with the local TV broadcasts. They talked to at least a few witnesses who seemed to have a good view. Then the DNC talking points for the media came out and those witnesses disappeared.

I forgot the exact details of the supposed real reason for the plane crashing, but it seems such a conclusion involves a phenomena that is not common in planes. Has it happened since?

This smells like an Obama diversion... away from his own real life problems with the NSA, EPA, et. al.

'Pay not attention to my illegal activities - I want you to focus on this plane crash....' He must think he's a real modern day PT Barnum with that circus act.

I was stationed on Okinawa from '69 - '71 and was a controller of air defense aircraft. As I recall, every intercept of a plane identified as "unknown" [sometimes very old Russian bombers flying several hundred miles away and sometimes Marine pilots who failed to file flight plans] was immediately reported to PACAF headquarters in Hawaii. I can assure you that any "accidental" firing of a missile would have instantly been reported to PACAF headquarters. Any accidental firing of a missile that shot down an airliner would have instantly been reported to PACAF headquarters, the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the President. A high level investigation would have begun instantly. It would have been impossible to keep the incident a secret.

It is virtually impossible that a Navy aircraft or ship could "accidentally" shoot down a passenger plane with a missile. The chances that it could happen and be kept secret for years are far less than winning a record lottery.

Many people still believe that the CIA and/or FBI killed JFK. There are also people who claim that they saw "Martians" captured and put in storage at Area 51.
