So what! Of course I know that.

Our right to work state has no state of local income taxes... My point is they all can move to another state if they don't like being taxed to death.

And, quit conflating state and local taxes with this thread on Federal taxes.

I'm more than aware of more money in my pocket. That's a good. But you asked for why I have my doubts.

That's fair. Just trying to make some points on the other side.

Funny, the more I think of it, the more I think we may be ready for something like this. Certainly, the technology is there to make such a system possible and to make rapid adjustments to various rates for various goods, etc. That said, the IRS and the whole filing process is rather antiquated, even with on-line filing.

I have this novel idea for cutting taxes. Quit spending so much.

Each party spends to gain more power. That ain't never going to change.

Where is the black doctor that said it so well at the national prayer meeting? The bible has it right with the tithe, it doesn't say give 10% if you make this much or that much, just give 10%. If its good enough for God, it should be good enough for the federal govt. Everyone should pay the same, period.

I don't hate any group of people. I think we should all get out the amount we all put in.

How do we all get different amounts of, say, military protection?

That's not possible with the community extortionist in charge of the charge card. And, any unexpected surplus will evaporate into some new pet project or one of his cronies back pocket... instead of paying down the deficit.
