She says she is appalled at the small children in Syria killed by gas. However she has no problem and supports children in the US to be killed by the chemical weapon of a saline abortion, in which a woman’s uterus is filled with a saline solution that eats away at the inside and outside of the baby until it is burned to death in utero. She is also in favor of the use RU-486 chemical abortion, in which the mother ingests a pill that cuts off her baby’s food supply and starves it to death, before ingesting another pill that makes her uterus contract to expel the dead baby into toilet water, to be flushed out of existence.

"In a poignant summary of her opinion that U.S. involvement is necessary, the congresswoman said the following:

As a mother, to me, I have an indelible searing imprint on my mind after seeing the pictures of those babies lined up. We have a moral responsibility to respond.

It is an unimaginable tragedy and utter injustice that hundreds of Syrian children appear to have died at the hands of the man who is designated to look out for their welfare. Wasserman Shultz overlooked fundamental flaw in her argument when she observed America’s moral responsibility to respond: Wasserman Shultz has spent her career ensuring that chemical and other forms of death continue to be protected by law and carried out on the babies in her own country.

Wasserman Schultz has hopefully been sterilized. We don't want that woman breeding with anything. She's awful. South Florida's answer to Corrine Brown.

Well that's an interesting equivalency only a fanatic would make. I mean, why not just stick with the standard "she opposes murder but supports abortion?" Did the ante need to be upped to this or something?

Does it help that she's a Gator?

Sadly, she's the Congresswoman from my district. I promise you that I vote against her every election.

It is bad. It is terrible. Where was she when Saddam Hussein was butchering and gassing his people. Where was she when 100,000 Syrians were being killed in a civil war prior to the chemical weapons. Where was she when terrorists hijacked a bus and beheaded 23 Syrians including a mother and child. Both sides in Syria are our enemies. Killing is bad.

But the flamethrower's comments were political. She's a fricking hack and is an embarrassment to our state. She and Anthony Weiner would be a perfect political couple.

In her mid-20s and in the Florida House of Representatives assuming we're talking about immediately following Desert Storm. In the Florida Senate assuming we're going to make the claim that it happened again immediately before the 2003 invasion.

She wasn't elected to Congress until the 2004 elections, so being upset at her for not making comments about a national issue before she was a national politician seems a bit strange.

DW-S opened herself up to this by bringing up dead babies and moral responsibilities to advance a political position.

I understand disagreeing with the article, but I don't see anything "fanatic" in describing the reality of abortion.

Your disconnect from reality is complete if you can equate aborted fetuses and children killed by a fanatical government or military.

Killing innocent life is killing innocent life.

Or is that too nuanced for you?

Well she had breast cancer and had to have her ovaries removed in order to ensure that she did not get ovarian cancer (of which she was at very high risk), as happens to many Jewish women.

I do hope you feel sufficiently ashamed of that little "joke."

It's the kind of stance that assures those who utter it will be part of nothing but the political fringe for the foreseeable future.

well, since no Americans did anything to stop Saddam then, I guess none of us has any right to criticize any murder at any time. Is that it?

Forget abortion for a moment, I would settle for Schultz and anyone else flapping this resolution to side with our primary enemy in the world to be as outraged about babies being beheaded by jihadist rebels as they are those killed in a gas attack of at least somewhat ambiguous origin.

Your disconnect from humanity is complete if you can't see how they are exactly the same.

Both die painfully as a result of a higher authority's self-serving decree.
