HE still talks in terms of a Def Coord. Listen to his post game talks. Its is almost all Defense. He breaks down any every play with D formations of both UF and the opponents with the mind of a def genius. He very rarely does the same about the O. The first criticsim is ALWAYS about the D. With the so called O UF has, every poster here has an opinion of the O. So does he know very little about the O or is he being nice to Pease. One could also say the same about special teams. A coach should be involved with the ENTIRE team.

I watch every press conference he can break down the O extremely well I was actually shocked at the way he can. One time in particular he was explaining why the Jumbo package worked so well against LSU

Has anyone ever seen him talking to the QB during the game? Serious question.

The quarterback is the leader of the offense and the leader of the team. A head coach not interacting with a QB on the sidelines is insane.

And no, I've never seen him go over to Driskel or Murphy. That's where we're at.

MUschamp is certainly no Saban or Stoops. Give me one aspect of the team that could be called as well coached. If I were making the decision, he would be out by now.

Not sure I ever saw Spurrier talking to Lawrence Wright on the sidelines either though.

To coach defenses effectively you have to know how offenses work. It's not like he knows nothing about offense. Granted it looks that way on the field sometimes.

So you're comparing the starting QB to a safety? LoL. I hope you didnt pull a muscle with that reach.

I sat two rows behind the bench against FSU in 2011 when JB was completely melting down with like 4 picks and not a word from the head coach, nor Weis for that matter. I was stunned. Could not believe what I was seeing from the coaches.

Sure, but we all know SOS used to rag on his D.C. all the time to get the ball back.
SOS used to and still does complain about his D.

so your problem is he didnt complain enough about the offense? Because he certainly breaks down offensive plays when asked. SOS just cries about what happen

. Steve talks offense at his press meetings and in sideline interviews. Champ is much more balanced in his pressers. The entire point is retarded, who cares what they talk about.

So this has been a problem for 2 years then? I don't remember any"why doesn't WM talk to the QB" threads in 2011.

LW was the leader if the defense, captain, etc. so the argument is valid.

Look WM deserves a lot of criticism but that he's not talking to the QB isn't that big a deal. I'm at most games so I don't see who he's talking to. I know I saw him talking with Driskell on TV during a game last year.

A few weeks ago it was feel good story that Chris Leak was taking such an active role mentoring this backup QB. Now WM is bottom of the barrel because he's not?

The problem with nearly EVERY head coach is that he was once an OC or DC (Meyer was neither - which is one of the reasons I think he's a great head coach - he played defense but was an offensive assistant).

Every coach skews one way or the other. Yes WM is too skewed to the D, that doesn't mean it can't work.

Spurrier is skewed too far to the O and I think it's worked out ok for him. I had an argument with my old man shortly after the 95 Fiesta Bowl. Dad said Spurrier would never win an NC until he got an offensive coordinator so he could be more active on both sides of the ball. One of the few times I've ever been right in an argument with him.

Muschamp has this thing called a microphone and its quite easy to see him yelling in it when something goes wrong on offense. Pease sits in the press box.
