It's actually Navy +17.5
-35. You know what I meant.
And navy +17. Guess I need to start proofreading. Geez.
I'd gladly take the point spread if we could play our 2's and 3's on offense and defense for 2 quarters.
Muschamp knows the backup will need reps and I don't see him just handing the ball off even with a big lead. Even if they do hand it off there are some pretty good backs to give it to.
Did we score a combined 35 points for the entire year in 2013?
My concern is we are winning by 40-50pts for the first three with the Gator Nation screaming see you in Atlanta and then reality hits. If or our OL gets dinged at all this will be a long season.
You did it more than once. When it comes to betting there's no "come on man". If you give me 17 but you actually wanted the 17, that's on you. Not on the person you're wagering with. When it's real money you'll certainly learn to "proof read".
That's what happened in 2005 (Meyer's first season) - big wins (minus a close one vs. UT)....then at Bama: 31-3 loss....
I usually think that the 30+ point differentials are sucker bets. Too many potential pitfalls to say that will happen.
In this instance, I can't say for sure that UF will score +35 on Idaho but if they don't that is going to be a BIG negative sign for the makeup of this team. JMHO
Based on last season, I take the points!!
From reading the various Gator boards, I can safely say that a 35-plus win against any team would be a good salve for the Gator Nation.
You will be rolling like your bets
Not really, I remember the Wyoming game, Meyers first, we were brutal. 05 was a depressing year....then came teebs and Percy and Brandon and......the cavalry arrived.
2005 was a depressing year? A 9-3 record with wins over UT, UGA and a blowout of FSU?
I'm on the Vandals and the points. I'll put a little bit on the Ml as well. I've seen enough the last 4 years to know not to get excited about our offense. I certainly won't mind losing this bet but the offense will have to show me.
No way we don't cover.
2005 was a great year, 2006 was built on it.
Spoken like a true fan.
I'd like to know how are we going to score? Teams have been able to load the box, force us to throw, knowing that we will force runs right into the teeth of the defense. Run, run, pass on 3rd and long, punt has been very predictable the past few years. I'm hoping for a much improved offense but I'm not sure how??
For one, unless Idaho is much better than last year, Idaho is by far the weakest team we've played in years. Particularly on defense.
For us, we are more talented and experienced in every position group on offense than we've been since 2009. At the skill positions, we are far more talented and experienced than we've been since 2009.
We could be drawing up plays in the dirt and just have too much talent for Idaho to compete with. But we're not drawing plays in the dirt. We're running an offense that puts this talent in space against an outmatched opponent.
Finally, we'll be running uptempo in Florida heat against a team from Idaho. Things will start out tough for Idaho, and only get worse until we decide to shut it down. And with the desire to get our back up QB meaningful reps, I don't think we'll be inclined to shut it down very early.
