I have a feeling we could break the magical 3 yards per carry barrier. Maybe we can even kick up that cloud of dust that we've been hearing about...
I liked Carr out of high school not sure he is ready to be a good contributor in his first year but UT doesnt have a choice. Didnt know too much about O'Brien but he was a pretty highly toted recruit in high school as well.
It's going to be a long year for UT.
Feeling 3.5+ yards per carry for us. Long drives, lots of FGs, a smattering of deep throws to keep the fans happy & great defense. Maybe we can loosen their young guys up & actually complete some long passes.
I'll be happy with some long incomplete passes. Come on, Saturday.
Might be Tenn's best chance to beat us in a while.
Ha! This won't be close
Only if they send in Vanderbilt's players and coaches.
Run alot of counters?
Even more of a reason to run a more up tempo offense to get in more offensive plays. If you are playing a team that is depleted on the line and you can run hurry up...those guys will be in a world of hurt by the second quarter.
Both these guys will be studs in the future.
I don't think so. They have a terrible defense and aside from a great o-line, no offense to speak of.
If our RB's don't rush for over 200, then something is wrong.
I see what you did there!!! I'd be happy just seeing some dust!!!!!!!!:joecool:
will not see any dust.........they put too much water on the field for there to be any dust.
Given how much we like to run off tackle, I think it's safe to say we're going to be pounding the ball inside a whole hell of a lot Saturday. It's going to be about as exciting as watching paint dry, but it should be effective.
I wouldn't run at McCullers too much...he is massive.
Define exciting. Bama fans think it is pretty exciting to watch Bama's running backs run over and through people to the end zone and Bama send their RB's to the NFL in the first round every year and winning national titles, MVP's, and a heisman trophy along the way. And, they are right. I would love to see Florida do that.
I haven't seen a lot of Jones' offense....do they run typical zone read spread or closer to Toledo?
