I thought that was one of the worst hires I've ever seen. It's pretty bad when the team you hire a coach away from winds up getting a greater coach and is better off. And, in this case, is a conference rival, no less, lol.

Sark has never been accused of anything remotely resembling racism and some of his players have already come out to support him.
Racism is despicable and should be abhorred by everyone, but falsely accusing someone of it leaves a stain in today's culture that is just as insidious.

USC has yet to graduate from Coaching Hire 101....

Like Bama back inthe 80's, they keep trying to revisit the past under Pete Carrill...they have hired the two former OC's under Carrill rather than trying to go out and get the best guy available...

They just fired the first retread, but they went back to the well and hired Carrill's other old OC.

Hint to Pat Haden: when you have Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Mike Williams, Keith Rivers, etc. the coaching looks pretty good. Its not the coaches its the recruiting.

Can't take the heat of the new staff so he tags 'em with the race card...at this point in our society, only those who smelt it dealt it...so it appears Mr. Brown wasn't willing to do the work necessary to play...

I tell ya there needs to be some rioting in the streets, some looting, Sharpton may be in route as we speak. It doesn't matter any more if Sark is racist or not, the very fact he was accused being a racist is all that matters. You see evidence is no longer important, we go by feelings we go by hatred these days. The fact that a black player has accused a white coach of racism is all that is required. I'm waiting for msnbc, and cnn to cover this story soon so if you own a business near campus lock your doors. Justice in our culture is in the eye of the beholder, or eric holder, so strange how another Brown is involved in a racist story. The only way this coach survives (tongue in cheek) is if he's a diehard liberal and maybe a member of the naacp.

This guy - Brown was listed as the 6th running back so although he claims racism I think it may be other reason he quit.
The term racist has been so oversued that it looses it's meaning.

I don't know...... coach sark's description of the events that transpired sound odd to me. He moves him to rb (a glory position that a lot of players wish they could play) to accommodate him and so he can contribute and the player refuses and just quits his senior year?

Using the word racist may be a bit much but something more definitely happened that's not being said. There's just too many details missing for a fake story let alone a real one.

The coach could be a little brash when he speaks to people or gets mad and the kid may not have thick skin and got offended then screamed racist. Or he was told he's being buried on the depth chart and is not going to contribute , got mad, things were said and he quit.

I would normally say it would be tough to be a coach or owner this day and age and be racist since most of the top athletes today are black and many teams championship hopes rely on those players, but Donald sterling showed me it's certainly possible.

All Sark did was ask him if he had any nephews that were not good swimmers.

This country has been gradually becoming more racially divided in the past 6 years, not less as some people expected.

I even thought that maybe black society would respect that it took a hell of a lot of white votes for Obama to get elected - while they of course voted as a block for the black man. Maybe black society would begin to consider that most of the attitude about skin color is resident in their own camp. Obviously that hasn't been the outcome.

Racism? Another loser. Break out your wallets everybody, we got another one we're gonna have to support.

Accusing someone of racism isn't a judgement?
