Any guesses where Mizzou will be ranked to start the season?
I can't believe Steele thinks they're not even Top 40 material.
Pretty sure they'll upset a bunch of Top 25 teams this year.

I agree with you. I think they'll be around 25 to end the season.

With 15 lost starters, I think Mizzou will end up closer to where they were in 2012 than they were last year. They are not a team that recruits particuarly well or a period of time.

No way do they resemble that injury hammered 5-7 team from 2012 imo. They may not be top recruiters, but they averaged around 35 in recruiting rankings the last 4 classes(not horrible at all), and they have a good staff. I look at their schedule and I see 8-4.

    Mizzou got:

    UCF
    USCe
    Georgia
    Florida
    Texas A&M

You may be right, OTOH, because I don't see Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas to be a problem this year, and they also have three cupcakes in Indiana, Toledo and South Dakota State. if they lose only four of the above games, they'll be ranked, but only because their schedule isn't as brutal as last year's or the 2012 schedule.

Why? UCF returns 15 starters from a team that finished 12-1 last year, ranked 21st with Steele's Power Poll (Mizzou is 42d), and beat #6 Baylor in the bowl game? Their QB was great, but he wasn't the entire team.

Did you watch them or are you just going off of Steele? Bortles made that team; him and Johnson.

Ps. UCF was 54 in Steele's rankings to start the year last season.

    I'll take all wagers.

Steele is not always right. But you'd be crazy to bet against him.

    UCF will smoke Missouri.

The flute player in the London Symphony's opinion is as valid at any. The preseason polls are done to sell their publications. These polls are sort of like getting excited about a 2017 HS skill position player having your team in the lead. Hope wm and Roper have us ready by the end of August.
