Well, they usually compensate the families of the victims too.

But I hesitate in mentioning that because I don't want to interfere too much with your armchair quarterbacking rants.

Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Winston wins the Heisman. Kurt Vonnegut couldn't make this shit up.

Relatively speaking, there is very little coverage of this event. There has been far more coverage of the execution of Kim Jong's uncle, Mack Brown's resignation and yes, even Kim Kardashian's "a$$" or charitable contribution record or both.

They pull this one all the time. Yeah, once you know about something you can google it and find something on it.

Who is this "they" you speak of? Nothing you said refuted my post but you can give it a try if you want. Of course I may then turn around and ask if you and east watched all of the news programs from the various networks to confirm the absence of coverage. The fact is with just a little checking you can see there is plenty of national coverage on it. Sorry if that doesn't fit any preconceived notions you may have.

Murder is the willful intentional killing of an innocent human being (the perfect example is abortion if you accept the fetus as a human being {it is}).

This was a tragic accident (mistake) and not the willful killing of innocents.

He's right to feel outraged. I don't think anyone should greet this news with a shrug of the shoulder, these were innocent civilians and nothing will ever change that.

But is he being a tad over the top? Yea. No country is perfect, but I can't think of too many countries that take the time and effort to compensate the victims like we do.

It's usually because it's a large group and, since it's the middle east, most everyone in that part of the world carries a weapon or two. Even to weddings.

A large group of armed men on the move can easily be mistaken for terrorists.

And, very likely, at least one of the persons in the group was already under surveillance and a suspect.

I specifically asked about TV network coverage. With young people getting their news for free in 15 second snippets on line (and they really don't care anyway), and newspaper subscribers down dramatically, a huge # get their news from TV and the networks, along with CNN and Fox, cover the majority. I saw it on Fox and tried to find it on the network news feed histories...could not find. I simply asked if anyone had seen it. Like Bill's question about TH members who had actually signed up on the fed exchange for insurance....zero responses. Nada. Empty set. So, I'm thinking it was not covered.

Be honest. If Bush was Prez....do you think the networks would have covered (exploited) this event?

They may have but we aren't talking about Bush. I don't care about any of them. From CNN to Fox.

I know you said TV coverage and I stated I didn't watch TV news so I didn't know. I cited plenty of evidence this is being covered and then asked if you had watched all of the various networks when you made your claim about their coverage?

And I told you, I tried to find evidence of it and could not. I wasn't referring to the one AP article you keep referring to. I'm referring to TV coverage. And I'm assuming other than Fox, there was none. And I'm assuming (as I stated earlier) that if Bush was Prez, this would have been an international incident and would have been on TV news every night since.

Just trying to point out that the media's interest in protecting Obama and his administration, has not suddenly dissapeared.

Fastix, thanks for finding. That 10 second blip on NBC was the only I've seen other the FOX report. I'm assuming it was on the evening news. The Time report by CBS was on the morning news.

Everything on TV is not posted online - I'm sure CNN, MSNBC, etc. all covered the story. Nothing is being covered up here. I know some want the news to spend a half hour blaming Obama for it, but that's not the reality of the coverage for this type of story, regardless of who the President is.

When "collateral damage" (sounds better than slaughter or massacre) is accepted as inevitable in the conduct of this program, how is it not willful killing?
