Alex was terrific in the last couple of minutes of the Euro semifinal game. I would say he won the game. His team was down five with seconds to go. He was everywhere.

Besides Neal Walk, who are the other 3?

Looks like the finals are tomorrow on a tape delayed basis on NBA TV. I'm sure it won't be on when the Heat/Pacer game is on.

Pretty sure they will be on ESPN3 live if you can get that where you are.

I played intramurals one year with a Jewish guy who I would put up against Nimrod. I've forgotten his name, but man could he run the floor and (at about 6'-2" or 3" I'd guess) throw it down off an alley-oop pass!

Thanks for the link. Strange seeing him with a bald head. I guess we all saw that coming though. From reading that piece, sounds like he's enjoying himself with this team. Another succes story for Billy D. Yeah, it's not the NBA, but he's getting paid good and traveling to unique countries. I'd say that's a success.

Alex and Macklin were a very good combo their senior years....if only our guards thought better of them, we would have made the Final 4

Alex had 12 pts and 11 boards in the championship game. Congrats to Alex and Maccabi on their championship!

What a great question. The other 3 would be Nimrod Tishman, Seth Haimovitch and Michael Weisenberg. I also would add 3 honorees. First, David Eckstein. He didn't play basketball for the Gators, and he isn't Jewish, but who cares. 2nd, the "Hebrew Hammer," Al Rosen. Like Eckstein, he played baseball for the Gators. But, again, who cares? He was American League MVP back in the '50s. Finally, Jordan Farmar, Also known as the Jewish Jordan. He turned us down to go to UCLA, which led to us getting Taurean Green. That deserves honorary great Jewish Gator status.

If you include David Eckstein, you might as well give an honorable mention to Joe Cohen ;)

I forgot about Joe. He gets an honorable mention, as does Goldberg. Now Goldberg played football for Georgia before becoming a famous wrestler, and has nothing to do with UF other than having played against the Gators, but who cares. I might as well give Jesus an honorable mention too while I am at it.
