The #1 cause of stress related heart attacks among football fans.. tailgate food? Bad team performance? Alcohol?.. nope. It's pink.. pink socks, sweatbands, and the silent killer..ribbons!

Trying to make people more aware of a terrible disease, by wearing a LITTLE pink, is pathetic? Not very mature on your part. It's not like the entire uniform is pink. We're talking about gloves and socks..... Ooooooh. So bad! What a joke. You should be embarrassed.

It's overboard and I do not think breast cancer should be placed over other diseases. They are all awful, besides I despise all advertising.

How is it over board? Again, it's gloves and socks. So what? I can't believe anyone has a problem with this. Maybe if they turned the entire uniform pink, I could see a problem. But a small pink ribbon on helmets, and pink socks and gloves is nothing at all. I do agree with you on it being placed higher than the rest. Seems like breast cancer awareness is much more publicized. It should just be cancer in general that gets the pub. I guess breast cancer victims/ survivors do a better job of getting the word out. Not my field of expertise so I'll back off. Lastly, it's only one time out of the entire year. Another reason why it's not that big of a deal, IMO.

Might be time to put this thread to bed....

there's more awareness events because the breast cancer orgs. work very hard to keep their cause at the forefront. maybe other causes should take notes and follow their formula. the no shave movember is starting to get some legs.

So it does not bother you, that's good. It bothers me. But in all honesty I could care less.
