Rumor today is that we made a huge push on Willis, and that Adams is an LSU lean. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I've been reading that too. While it's still likely a long shot, Willis would be a HUGE get, and a step in the right direction after all of the bad news from this week.

Losing both would really hurt. We would be down to four or five more targets, and I'm not sure we are favorites (Jackson, maybe?) on any of them. Willis and Adams might be our best shot at a Top 50 player outside of Adoree.

Agreed. Adams hurts because he was supposed to be a lock for most of the recruiting season. I'm concerned that we won't fill all of our slots, and even if we do, it will be with a lot of "project" type players.

Right. Which isn't terrible, given that I think the only positions that could be upgraded immediately through freshman were on offense.

WR -- Bailey, Lammons, Stephens, Lane*, Jackson*
    QB (?) -- Grier
    RT -- Greene, Sharpe
    TE -- Goolsby, Lewis
    C -- ?
    NT -- Clark

Those are really the only positions I'm worried about, and I think Clark is going to step in and be effective immediately at NT. Projects aren't going to kill us on the defensive side of the ball.

The only position on D I am worried about is DE. We really need to add a premium pass rusher since Fowler and Bullard will be NFL eligible after next season. That's why I think that Carter, however unlikely, is perhaps the most important recruit left on our board.

No shot at Adams. I saw an interview where willis said he was going to have to inform his mom ahead of his commitment so there wasn't another episode on national tv. Did he let it slip he was leaving the state? I hope, but wouldn't bet on it.

18 commits last class and not filling this one could set us back again.

Zach. A saying he feels good about Willis, but predicts Adams to LSU. I'm guessing Jackson isn't committing tonight? I know most people feel like he's a Gator, so it would be good to get him on board ASAP.

Would like to know a little more about why this talented kid from California is likely to come all the way out to Florida. He must just want to be a Gator really bad.

There seems to be a lot of places where he could end up, including LSU, USCw, and FSU. He hasn't visited UF in a long time. He appears to really like our track program, which I believe is what is helping us the most.

LSU is in today to get perhaps 5 (5-star players). Even if they hit on just 3 of 5 would be amazing.

He wants to run in the Olympics, ala Jeff Demps, so he is only considering programs with strong T&F programs as well.

We signed 30 last year and were ranked #2 by ESPN. You can have your own opinions but you can't have your own facts.

It's hard watching the game knowing that most of the Gator "commits" playing likely won't be commits much longer.

I agree. It's also kind of boring, considering we really only have 1 commit playing in the game. It's really too bad, because those guys could see immediate playing time at Florida, where they likely will not wherever they end up.

Is that JC Jackson at corner that got beat deep? I don't follow recruiting but I'm watching this game and that Gerrett DE looks like best on field so far
