Feels like yesterday...one disaster inning and then being pressured to match runs.
We are going to throw up a 10 spot this inning.
Guess O'Sullivan has quit. That ball was foul and he doesn't say a Word.
He has looked pisseed in both games when I hae seen him on tv.
Our offense has been like this all year. We cannot get behind like this and catch up. We depend on pitching to keep the other team in check but when that fails we can't handle the pressure.
Something always goes wrong. Finally a hit with RISP, and Martin trips over 3B to get called out at home.
Did ESPN capture Richie's meltdown in the dugout?
our base running is terrible.
I'll try to explain what I was getting at: Like the FB team they have to work so hard and do everything perfect just to score 1 run, or a FG as the case may be with FB. Neither program has that dynamic HR-hitter so to speak..a game-changer. BB doesn't even have that dynamic speedster that can get on base consistently and disrupt the other team.
I would say Gushue and Bader are. But they're a far cry from Zunino and Fontana. AJ Reeds are pretty rare to come by.
2 and BBQ. #2 overall my ass
Warm up the bus for the nearest local BBQ joint
The assessment on ESPNU Monday was spot on.
The margin of error for this team is so small. Pitchers threw 15 shutout innings this weekend and we are 2 and out.
Kick them off our field, have the rest of the games at the local Y.
Did we get an extra base hit? In the end the same problem we had in February ended the season. Can't always rely on the other team to give you runs.
Might have a better attendance at the Y too.
This regional reminded me of that weekend we had Illinois and FGCU in town. 1-3 that weekend, and put up 2 runs in 3 of those losses. In the end, I'm going to remember this season as much for the SEC Championship as I am for their lack of success in the postseason. Probably the most frustrating part about that is that the team really didn't improve any with postseason results from last year. Still, I look forward to next year and see if they can have a better stab at a post-season run.
Can't hold it against our fans with the weather what it was.
