If this was Florida, my opinion would be that the tutor has no business telling Billy Donovan how to run his program.

UNC and Duke somehow always escape these type situations. I really thought Hairston would be gone for a little while at least.

I would not expect Roy to do the right thing.

Yeah, I was a little shocked at that short note and nothing more. One wonders if this was a forced resignation for some reason other than that give.

He's far from the first staff member at UNC to come out publically against the school for either this kind of situation or the rampant academic fraud. Each, even after being published in some form, have been met with crickets.

I say good for the tutor. I wouldn't want PJ playing for UNC if I were a fan of that team. I'd say the same (and will probably get to at some point) if it were a player on my favorite team.

Its the forever double standard. You know what happens if you get a DUI as a student at UF? Most cases you get kicked out. No second chances. How many times do we see arrested Gators stay on the squad?

This intrigues me. I've never heard of a student getting a DUI and getting kicked out solely for that. I know of a few people who got DUIs in undergrad and nothing happened to them as far as UF was concerned. Does the UF code of conduct cover that? My understanding of it was that if you got a DUI specifically on campus youd be expelled, but never heard heard that for an off campus incident and I dont think thats how it works. In fact, a close friend got one in law school and the law school takes no action...the Florida Bar did, but thats a different story. I think you might be mistaken on the DUI = expulsion thing.

In Baka's defense, he said most cases...not all...

Just making an inquiry, not trying to start an argument. Baka may know more than I do. Not that it's very important anyways, not trying to derail the thread.

I also have never heard of that at UF or elsewhere. My best friend went to Mizzou and got a DUI his last semester and the school did nothing. He made it in to law school and was admitted to the bar too.

Roy and the Admin of UNC threw the football under the bus over the last two years. Now the football is suffering. Coach Davis is getting the last laugh.

As for the basketball team, they had students over the last ten years in the African studies program. You think Roy didn't know about it. As for PJ, it is pretty obvious he has been getting bene's other students at unc don' get, but leave it to Roy, their admin and lawyers to find a way for him to get on the court. UNC Basketball, dirty now and has been dirty for a long time. Ask NC State fans!

So when Dick Vitale is gushing about UNC and Roy this year, it makes me feel that college athletics is only about the money. Of course Dick knows where he gets his checks. If UNC plays Kentucky this year, it would make me feel like how many rules have been broken to get these two to the top! LOL

Cars, money, special classes, agents on the staff and all around the program guiding these young stars around the rules. Remember Agents were in the forefront of the UNC investigation, do you think their b-ball program didn't also prosper with it. Where oh where is the NCAA, probably having meeting at posh resorts talking about re-organizaton while the rats controlled the house. Talking about anything but rule breaking, that requires work. Just take the money and run. Unbelievable!

I am amazed that we haven't heard from him. That and sniffing out sweeps over Kentucky are my favorite Tupacisms.
