And who launched them? Did our CIA do it... just to get us into that war that Obama seems to want? There are a lot of things in Washington (debt ceiling, budget crisis) that Obama knows will be a headache for him...

    Wag the dog....

Don't think anyone wants a war. But over 90% of the world agreed that Chemical weapons are a big no-no. One way or another something HAS to be done IMHO.

You're right about that, but why not let this run it's course, after all we've been watching the killing of 100,000+ people and counting for two years now. Why the sudden rush?

Because of the Chemical weapons don't you think that should be stopped before we or another country are attacked with them? If we let that slide whats next? Bi-Weapons/Nukes? I think there should be a response of some kind but i also think if Syria is being honest about handing over all of there weapons then let diplomacy takes its course.

How many times do you think Chemical weapons have been used so far? About a dozen times and counting. I doubt Assad has the cojones to do it again... even if he did it the last time.

The last thing we need is another war... for any reason. Besides that we can only (Constitutionally) start a war against a nation that is a direct threat to America. Syria is not a threat to America's national security.

I didn't realize there was doubt about whether chemical weapons were used. The issue is who used them. There has been a lot of doubt about that. Not a good idea to bomb the bad guys when we don't know who the bad guys are. If we can't come up with proof then we need to stand down and just admit we dont have enough proof. Good luck getting that ego in the White House to admit not knowing.

When was the last time Benghazi....IRS....etc., was in the news much? Once Syria became headline fodder, Hussein knew the deflection off his many other issues would be almost assured. Only problem he didn't plan on was backing himself into a situation where being a community organizer doesn't cut it. Now he has some seriously big issues to deal with as he hopes his little IRS/Benghazi problems will fade away. Wagging the dog could be a major understatement with this clown in the WH.

This jackass is soooooo deep in over his worthless head it is becoming laughable to the entire world that somehow, the buffoons of this country re-elected the biggest doofus ever to POTUS. Getting elected the first time should have been a lesson learned by this country, but noooooo--wasn't enough. The world wonders how the hell we could do such a stupid thing again, and are now laughing at us as the USA is losing credibility around the globe.

Everyone is now distancing themselves from him--many of his loyal ass kissers are keeping quiet like never before as they watch him fold under his own self-inflicted pressure.

Put nothing past him when it comes to wagging the dog...he is absolutely capable of such.

Non-stories invented by political opposition have to have validity to stay in the news.

Actually I'd say Obama (I'm neither a lover nor a hater) has played it fairly well.

I don't think it's seriously disputed that chemical weapons were used. The question is who used them. This article says nothing at all about that question. So what impact does the UN announcement have on Putin's claims (or FTM ours)?

    Do something to WHO?

Have we proven that the rebels didn't use them?

I guess you did not notice the both US Houses were on a month long vacation thus the Obama scandal stories died down.

Our elected officials did get back on the job this week.
Sounds like a real story to me.

I think the lack of scandal consideration outside of Fox World stems from the belief that the bulk of these organizations, Tea Party or not, shouldn't receive tax exemptions in the first place.
