Gators won't let it happen. Too much hate involved--they won't be getting a get-out-of-jail-free card when they visit the O-dome so they can forget about an undefeated season. They need to just think about trying to win the division and not be so full of themselves.

I hope our guys have the same mentality: let's go undefeated this year!

I'd think a team with any chance of going undefeated would need a lot of upperclassmen to keep focus. Not uk.

Agreed. UK will be 1-1 to start the season.

I've never said this kind of talk is ridiculous, considering how close some teams get. Its just never going to be very likely. UK is getting too much credit for their recruiting class and not enough people are considering how rough the team will look to start the season.

I wish people would stop asking the players about this. Its just dumb. UK was barely ranked as the preseason number 1 in most polls. I realize any quote about it will make for an interesting story and don't' expect it to stop until they lose. I'm predicting 3 regular season losses myself and that's only if Andrew gets healthy and stays that way.

Some teams will embrace this kind of mentality and think anything is possible if they work hard enough. Other teams will let it go to their head and assume they'll win most games by walking out onto the court. Players from last years team admitted they thought the latter (granted it wasn't undefeated talk). I hope this team is more like 2012 - to state the obvious.

Depends. Do they have to play Robert Morris?

    Actually they do!

They have a very tough schedule and they will probably lose to a team they aren't expect to early.

Don't think for a second that we wouldn't be beating our chest and talking smack if we had the type of recruiting class they had. I don't know if they will all pan out, but on paper, its ridiculous.

I still think I would take our team, if healthy and with a full roster, over theirs come March.

    Go Gators!

Ok, its a stretch IMO to say they are favorites to win it all. Simply because a bunch of big headed (in theory) FR usually will drop one in the tourney but 40-0.... thats full blown retarded.

If they do it I will be shocked, and I will concede that Calipari is a top notch coach.
But more than likely, I will watch and LMAO at their first loss.

We will not go undefeated and that is silly talk. Kentucky is very talented and we will go very far. I would be disappointed if we didn't win the national title.

Colin it is Michigan State on the 12th and they will beat us and I'm ok with that. We will make some plays but lose by 6-12 points IMHO.

November 12th is #2 ranked Michigan State on a neutral floor. This will be the team's 3rd game in 5 days (for those that put stock into that). Also play #12 UNC and #3 UL, but those aren't till December.

It's going to make it that much sweeter when we cut down the nets in April.

UK will not lose to either UNC Ashville or Northern Kentucky.

I think that they may lose to Michigan and go 2-1. But if the new application of the old rules are called correctly then UK may slip by Michigan State.

That is a 19 year old sophomore child talking.

I agree with Brewski that optimism is a very good thing to have.

You never know how things will work out. 40-0 is unlikely but not impossible, although as channingcrowder noted, usually some upper classmen help to maintain consistency.

Ought to be an interesting season, as usual.

Hopefully no teams will have the types of damaging injuries that both Kentucky and Florida had last year (this year, it is Georgia and Florida in football, last year it was Missouri). You never know what cards you will be dealt until after the deal is finished.
