Yep, this is a scenario I posed last year. This year's UK players will ponder what happened to Poythress when they make their decision. I'd expect Randle & Young to go pro. Have the Harrison twins shown enough to go pro? Will they fear sitting behind Ulis & Booker? UK has the #4 center coming in - Dakari Johnson hasn't lit it up this year, will he risk staying? UK just might lose everyone again & have to start from scratch.

Of all the KY players I love Dakari the best. He has crazy potential. Will he do a Bledsoe/Orton?

And if I were Poytress's mom I would tell him to transfer. He should have been a starter all year, and Cal appears to dislike him. I don't get it.

Austin, I agree totally. I think Johnson has the potential to be a beast if he returns to UK next year. Not sure how Jeff and the rest of the BBN regulars feel, but if I could take any kid off of that UK team, (given Randle is an NBA lock), I'd take Dakari.

Ryan Harrow apparently transferred because his father had a stroke.

Poythress could become a Prather-esque story if he sticks around. I really can't figure out why he wasn't starting. His defense can't be worse than James Young's.

I really don't know much about UK recruiting. I'm assuming they've got another big Frosh class coming in, so how many scholarships have to open up?

And nobody even has mentioned Marcus Lee yet, who also was an MC all american last season.

Bullis isn't wrong. I dont think poythress is any good, but he would have at least gotten drafted/paid based off potential last year

If I had to guess I would say Young/Randle/WCS go Pro, Poythress/Marcus Lee transfer, and Harrisons/Dakari stay.

I'll agree to disagree about dakari, I see very little pro potential but are you asking will he be like Bledsoe or Orton, because the two have extremely different paths in the NBA? Bledsoe is about to get paid, while Orton has eaten his way out of the league.

I believe that they have two players graduating and four players coming in. They only need one player to leave early to make room for everyone, and Randle won't be staying.

Honestly it's really a shame, they seem to have some decent kids who with good coaching could develop into nba role players but unfortunately they're not going to receive that chance.

I have said this over this year, cal's offense needs stellar guard play. Fast, shooting assassin deadly and running the dribble drive offense. There is no one on this team that can do it. I am sure cal has a couple of stars in waiting being comforted by agents in their wait. he knows the writing is on the wall, that is why he has given up.

UK is now tied for 2nd in the SEC with UGA. Wow. How the mighty 40-0 have fallen. (IIRC)

I just meant it in the sense that they left without being starters, or ready to go. This is why a lot of these kids go to KY to get drafted fast.

Not true. I guarantee Billy could get a lot more out of their players then Cal has. At the end of the day, the team reflects the coach. He has one of the most talented teams on paper and is struggling with them. It seems as though he believes recruiting them should be enough. "They play like freshman". No, they play like you coach them.

I would love to see what Donovan and his staff would do with some of these guys like WCS and Poythress. Almost no player development at UK.

Ah Ok. I'll agree with that.
