Malcolm Mitchell tore his ACL on Saturday. He was Georgia's top returning player in receptions, reception yds, receiving 1st downs

I was very interested in seeing how he would play this year. He had played both sides of the ball during his career at UGA and was now going to be there number one WR. Hope he has a full recovery.

Mitchell was the only WR that scared me. Their OL and DL struggled yesterday. Gurley is a big time player (12 carries for 154 yards) but they could be in some serious trouble this year.

Sorry to hear for the kid. As I recall, he has struggled to stay healthy. I thought there receivers were overrated before, but even more so now.

The real ch!t is that the article said he injured it on a celebration of Gurley's TD. Also said Gurley was also injured on that "play".

Mitchell pulled a gramatica. Celebrate and blow out your acl at the same time.

Don't think he was a starter, but Miami also lost a key WR to a broken collar bone.

Pulled a "Gramatica". Not to be confused with pulling a "Ginn" (sprained foot while celebrating).

True. Ginn was walking around on the sideline in the second half.

Its not like Richt hasn't coached his players how to celebrate before. Blame must go to the strength coach, who didn't have the WR's ready to jump by week 1.

I thought the same thing. Richt teaches his players to celebrate. Also, I have always said that someone was going to get hurt doing that chest bump in the air.

In Mitchell's defense, at least he wasn't celebrating his own TD.

Hate it for him. All that off-season conditioning and hard work just to miss out on the entire season.
