    No. It is not.

Making chit up and claiming it is correct doesn't make it so.

And in the fuzzy math world of Champ haters that is equal to 75% defense recruiting.

I have a HP Model CWMH8R that calculates 75% for all of them. It also calculates that we never pass on 1st down and our run-pass ratio is 75-25.

    What about 2011?

I think the issue is more that in 2011, a lot of our offense guys have left the program. It is the lack of top shelf talent from 2011 and 2012 that is currently hurting our offense. He definitely made up for it in 2013, but it takes time to see that impact.

Agreed. 2011 hurts bad; combine it with the shortcomings of 2012 and here we are. No quick fix either.

I was only discussing '12 and '13 to defend the mis perception of Champ recruiting 75% D. I don't put '11 on CWM.

If the OL isn't picking up gaps and blitzes wouldn't it make sense to run fewer plays that call for an empty backfield?

Also our OL do not SUSTAIN their blocks.....You have got to keep going at it....not just initial contact....

I think its a tradeoff ... With empty you have TM in shotgun for quick pass or QB run to counter pressure

Or our coaches cannot/did not. What did they think LSU was going to try and do? Were they ready to scheme around it?

Great question. Ask Pease. How is it our DL couldn't get to Metz but theirs could our QB?

Or get Tyler out of the pocket more often. Great coaching.

some of our offensive problems are due to injuries in the Oline, and to many of the olinemen are having to learn multiple positions on the O line which will slow the process even more.

And both of our starting TE's are playing for other teams, one in t.n. in the middle of nowhere and the other for UL. It's just a bad situation all around with the offensive line, you can't let deep routes develop when your qb is running for his life 2 seconds after the snap which murphy did most of the game.

I also saw mention of the quick passing game, we tried that several times in the LSU game but our O line wasn't cutting the D linemen and keeping them from getting their hands up. Several ball got batted at the line, I thought we had Brantly back at qb for a minute.

What we have is offensive ineptitude. Do you all remember this past spring, it was highly written up that our OL were watching film of last years whiffs and it was going to be a year to turn things around. I said then I'll believe it when i see it. Well, the problem remains. It's time for a new OL coach who can get results. You are soo right, we couldn't lay a finger on Metz but TM was running for his life. Not acceptable.

To admit confusion midway is plain insulting. Maybe BP runs so much in the middle because he knows we can't block and running wide sets us up for a loss. Frankly the entire O staff could be booted and I wouldn't give a flip. Yet we demote our punter for kicking it into the endzone (mind you not shanking) yet this kind of ineptitude is ok. This is another reason why i'm not sure WM makes it past year 5.

Great question. Ask Pease. How is it our DL couldn't get to Metz but theirs could our QB?

I noticed we did not blitz much at all. There was nothing but 4 man rushes, and I was hoping to see something else. Their blitzes worked perfectly, ours did not, well because we did not attempt any, It is not hard to block 4 defensive linemen when you have 5 offensive linemen. To me it seems we rely on our front four waaaaayyyyyy too much to be over dominating, and quite frankly they're not. Not without Easely.
