If we had Easley, I like UF. Without him, I'd go with LSU in a squeaker. This will be the game we miss him the most by far.

Did you see the Arkansas QB's jersey after last Saturday's game? And that was a very, very good OL we went up against too.

For you. I prefer the ones in say '93, '01, and '08 when we were hanging half a hundred on the hapless tigers.

I can see that you would feel that way, but don't forget about the last time Florida came to Baton Rouge, LSU won easily 41-11. Fun game for the good guys.

What was most memorable was the fake punt.

Actually, I am concerned about Purifoy in coverage..he really is not a top tier cover corner and I believe LSU will go after him. Add to it that Roberson is not a 100% and I think the LSU passing game is going to cause us issues. Easley was our disruptive force with his quickness into the backfield..I think LSU can score 30.

We're going to have to score if we want to win. Our defense is great, but so is their offense. Great offenses are extremely hard to stop, no matter who you have.

I really hope unsubstantiated rumors are true and Roberson was 100% last weekend. We really need him.

Their secondary was absolutely pathetic against Georgia. Busted - badly busted - coverages all day. DBs yelling and pointing at each other all day. Most of Murray's big plays thrown (including the winning touchdown) to receivers with no defender within ten yards. Sure they're young and playing at home and will get better with experience, right now they're a bit of a trainwreck.

And their running game has been worse than ours. 36 carries for 77 yards against UGa. Every other D1 team has averaged over 200 against the pups.

We have been slowly working into the rotation our CB's of the future, true freshmen T. White (now a starter) and R. Robinson (getting more PT each week).

We are improving in the secondary, but I will admit we are far from perfect at this point. Not sure Florida's offense, however, is going to challenge us like UGA's.

Landry was noticeably limping int he second half of the State game. He did not practice Monday and was seen wearing a boot and on crutches. Les never makes direct comments about injuries, but I think he'd have to be considered no better than probable for this weeks game.

Big drop-off to the next tier of receivers.

LSU is going to be throwing deep early & often against uf DBs - if the dline can't get a pass rush it will be a long day

That's really been Cam's MO this year, he likes the deep ball on 1st and 2nd down.

Hoping to see some two back sets with play action, swing passes, and plays that ultimately take us around LSU's D which is likely seven in the box. I could see us banging our heads against the wall again but I hope not. I hope this is where our offense starts to get confusing... not "complicated" just hard to defend.

Not unless we turn the ball over a couple of times on our side of the field. I firmly believe we can hold them to 20 or less on offense, but if we give up some critical TO's on our side of the field and put the defense in a jam, that could happen.

Of course, there's no telling if the big play hits or what, but as big as LSU's OL is, I don't think they're developed bunch right now and are as athletic as some of the OL's they've had in the past. This is where we have to play sound gap defense and make sure their RB Hill doesn't get good yards on first downs and make them throw to beat us.

Ah yes, the "our team has swagger" because our punter taunted the Gators.

It was probably time to retire any meme regarding swagger when you got blanked in the title game. Teams with swagger usually manage a few trips past the 50 even against really good competition.

I think in 2003 when we beat them(nat champs) they never crossed the 50 yrd line?
They had a PR for a TD.

I like our chances a lot if we get Roberson back and can match up our NFL caliber CB's against their wr's. I would commit to playing man to man all game long and shut down their run.
