C'mon, I think you're getting carried away here. We ran for 115 against Arky, the 30th ranked rush D in the country through week 5. We are ranked #49 in rush offense through week 5, averaging 192 yards per game.

LSU is not in the top 50 for rush D, btw. Last year we notched 176 rushing yards on them, and I think we can sniff 150 this year. If we do, with Murphy's passing ability, we should be able to put up enough points to give them a game. (I think we more than give them a game, but I'm just humoring your pessimism.)

I bet, and it's right where I would have put it, these guys are good and they play our game, except better.

    -7 sounds about right.

Our defense will keep them from lighting up the scoreboard so I don't expect offensive fireworks.

But this will easily be the toughest team we have faced so far in a terrifying environment with a QB with 2 starts under his belt and no real offensive threats that give opposing defenses nightmares.

I think that this game will be tight no matter where it is played. The LSU defense looked lost at times against State this weekend and was nonexistant against UGA. LSU can be had and I am hoping that Brent and Will open the floodgates and scare some teams coming up. That said, LSU is always physical and ZM has a knack for getting passes high where only Landry and Beckham can catch them and they do. For us to win, we need pressure on ZM and stuff Hill. That happens and I think we'll get a few turnovers. If not, long ride back home. The line seems a bit high, but with our miscues on ST of late, I could see where 7 comes from.

i think it is an afternoon game. That doesn't add to their homefield advantage like a night game does. Actually surprised it isn't at night.

Our running game needs help! Matt Jones at times has looked like Maurice Jones-Drew by running right into a 4 car pile up. That kills the inertia. I hope that Brian White and Brent Pease discuss finding the escape route after the snap.

    LSU 24 - FL 21

Miles tries a fake kickoff and our five man line on kickoffs is overwhelmed. They get in the endzone late and the crowd goes wild about 6:30pm. I hope our special teams get the line up on the kickoffs right because Les likes weaknesses on other teams. Remember he tried the fake fg and caught us flat footed for a win in the swamp. This can tip the favor on to one team's side.

Our defense has been making at statement for the last two years, if you ask me it's TIME for our offense to make a statement.

There's a side of me that wonders if this game isn't setting up like last year's FSU game.
Perhaps, with our D, we will give LSU's offense a very tough time. I would feel infinitely better about our chances of Easley was playing in this game. Man I miss him.

Anyone who thinks our defense is good enough to contain Mettenberg is crazy.

That guy is a player....and he will find his marks.

Question is....can be contain "enough" of his performance plus add enough of "our" offense to prevail.

I think it's going to be a war.

At least we're not as beat up going into this game as we usually are in the past couple of years.

Even if we lose this game, we can still win the East if we beat UGA and USCe

I think this game sets up very well for us. LSU, while improved offensively, is a good match up for us. I believe our guys will control both lines of scrimmage throughout the day and Mettenberg will be a sitting target for Fowler & co. I like our guys on Saturday.
