I don't get why UF has so many transfers. Looking at just WM's classes here are the transfers:
    2011:
    Mike Blakely
    Jacoby Brissett
    Chris Johnson
    AC Leonard(Legal related)
    Javares McRoy
    De'Ante Saunders
    Graham Stewart
    Ja'Juan Story

    2012:
    Willie Bailey
    Jessaman Dunker (Legal related)
    Jafar Mann
    Rhaheim Ledbetter
    Skyler Mornhinweg
    Kent Taylor
    Quinteze Williams

    2013:
    Max Staver
    Trevon Young

It seems that UF coaches are either not very good at evaluating talent and just filling classes after recruiting misses or all these kids have issues. I did notice that vast majority of transfers are on offense. Pointing again to the fact that UF's offensive staff and thus the HBC are not very good at closing recruits and selling the program with regards to offense.

You need to investigate the rest of the SEC and traditional power houses to see if we're that much worse than they are. My guess is probably not. Especially ones with a recent coach turnover (2011 for us especially makes sense)

I remember the days when our transfers were due to the players ahead of them on the depth chart were just way too good and said transfer couldn't crack the rotation.

The bad part is when a player transfer to another school and they tear it up and get a lot better.

We were all worried/curious about the offense when you hire a first time head coach who was a DC previously. Well since then there's been very little evidence that he knows what he's doing on that side of the ball. From hiring a staff, to recruiting, to the depth chart management, to developing a QB, to philosophy, to blocking schemes, etc, etc. I can't imagine how he could have done much worse.

So everyone loves to bash Saban and the SEC West for oversigning, but what we are doing is essentially the same concept - pushing out unproductive players to make way for more recruits.

Although with us at least the player may have the chance to say no and stay on versus Saban just oversigning then having to force kids out no matter what. Also I suppose "cutting" kids in December is better than in August for the kid. But same general concept.

I wonder how people feel about this?

Most of these transfers are good. They were unproductive players for us.

    The bleeding has not stopped...

    Andrew Spivey's latest tweet:

"I'm told there could be up to four more transfers today or very soon. Three of them are big deals." #Florida. Stay tuned to GC for the latest"

Really? You do not understand why a new coaching staff would have a lot of transfers? Especially after the last coach said the program was broken? The new guy has different standards and expectations as well as a different philosophy.

Most teams have 5 or so most years. This year we may have 10...most hope so because otherwise we will not have much of a recruiting class when we need an infusion of talent. Many more intervening variables than those you pose.

Staver and Mornigwhig are also gone. There will be more.

If we start losing starters and guys we expected to be key pieces to next year's team, Foley may need to reevaluate the Thousand percent stance.

Another one of our DB's may transfer. I think one of Washington, Harris, and Maye could go. I really doubt it, but if I had to pick a "big deal" candidate, it would be from that group. Maybe one of the receivers out of Bailey, Hawkins, Thompson? I think that tweet might just be for dramatic effect though.
