“@Frank_Frangie: UF OC update: There was interest-gauging conversation w UCLA's Noel Mazzone. Noel was interested, but got a nice bump by Mora and will stay.”

“@Frank_Frangie: But the conversation w Mazzone validates what Muschamp has said privately, that they are converting to a fast-paced spread.”

I am excited to see Muschamp is looking outside the box.

Wow. So it took three years for Muschamp to see the light, and now whoever comes in as OC has to install an entirely new system, hope the players grasp it, and pray he makes it through a grueling SEC schedule. Tall order right there.

He won't be allowed any excuses.

There should be some level of realism about the schedule though. We will probably be playing seven top 25 teams, up to five of which will be top 10 to top 15 teams. Maybe three top 5 teams (Bama, LSU, reFSU).

    That's a brutal schedule.

Unfortunately, unless we again post a losing record, I believe Foley will keep Muschamp. We will win 7-8 games. Foley will claim progress. The offense will still struggle but the new system will be to blame. Foley knows the extension was a mistake and is buying time until he can get Muschamp out of here for cheap.

If we lose five games, Muschamp is gone. IMO.

Four games is on the border... depends on how the team is playing/progressing, and who else is available as a HC.

Three losses against that schedule (if our opposition is as tough as we expect), and he should be safe. JMO of course.

This offense will be built for Driskel.

I wouldn't mind a claim of progress with 7-8 wins if the progress included major improvement in the offense and at least looking competitive in a couple of the losses to good teams.
