UCLA might be the least opportunistic team ever. They seemingly load the bases every inning...and then nothing.

UF really has no business losing 2 games to either of these teams.

UAB mobs the runner who scores and not the girl who hit the triple to win it..Really, UAB?

Can't look ahead, but don't expect us to be challenged in this super-regional.

In the only other game still ongoing, FSU trails [13] South Alabama 6-1 in the 5th.

Only unseeded teams to advance thus far are UAB and UL-Lafayette who beat [9] LSU.

Winner of our super-regional will play the winner of [7] Tennessee/[10] Alabama in OKC.

Yeah, LSU really fell apart at the end of the year, and it continued in the post-season.

SEC sends 6 teams to 8 Super Regionals. That's as many as the next 2 conferences combined (Big 12 & PAC 12 with 3 each)

Well, that kind of sucks. Assuming UF wins would rather play a conference foe later on. Oh well, rooting for bama I guess in that matchup. First got to win the SR tho.

If UCLA had won, our super regional (PAC10 or12vsSEC) would have been one of the super regionals featured on ESPN or ESPN2. Playing UAB, we will probaby be relegated to ESPN3 (online). Even more reason to put our butts in the stands.

It is possible we will see lots of SEC foes in the CWS! One SEC is totally assured and up to 5 could be there!

That pitcher for ULL is as good or better than Brignac. ULL had some distractions this year along with losing some serious studs from last year. South Alabama has grown up in their conference as well. USA blowing a 6-0 lead to FSU in the if game in Mobile with their ace in the circle has to be a bit of a shock as well. The twin sister of the South Alabama ace pitches for UAB by the way.

I was rooting for South Alabama until I realized the third Fagan sister that was badmouthing the Gators on Twitter plays for them. Then I was happy they choked.

My daughter graduated from USA last year. Played at UAB her freshman year so it's a Kevin Bacon kind of thing for me. Didn't light D1 softball on fire but worked hard got her degree and is living and working in Austin Tx, so it's all good. I like and respect Marla Townsend at UAB but Becky Clark not so much.
